The directions to start these seeds does NOT work with what they give you. What looks like a little clay pot that would absorb water, is some sort of plastic. The medium will never get any moisture following the directions that come with the kit. I'm ordering another one and dealing with the seeds myself.

Doesn't grow, and the listing makes you think you're going to get a catcus that fills the pot. It doesn't show that the pot is smaller than a shot glass.

So after multiple tries of planting these seeds following the enclosed directions and having not 1 seed grow, I used my own method. After planting the seeds in common potting soil, I covered the top of the pots with plastic wrap and poked holes in the plastic wrap. I gave the seeds a good watering and put them under a grow light for 3-6 hours a day. Every seed has now sprouted, it took about 6 days to happen. The pictures are around week 2 after planting.

I was given this little kit as a gift and absolutely nothing happened. Part of the problem was that included in the kit are two different sets of directions, neither one actually workable with the actual kit. So I ordered a second kit and did what made sense to me and within a few days I had a pot full of little sprouts. The next problem is, there are no instructions as to what to do once they sprout. I still have them in their little terrarium, but I'm afraid at some point they may rot; on the other hand I don't want them to dry out, they are still so tiny. If anyone has gotten past the tiny sprout stage and can offer advice, please do so!

I like growing succulents. It takes a while but they just look great as they grow. I bought this kit to give it a try. The directions are straight forward, easy, and didn't take long. What I really liked was the number of seeds that came with the kit. I used them not in in this, but was able to seed several other pots as well. In three days there were green shoots visible. Also, in the other pots there was growth in the 3-4 days as well. Overall a fun kit with the possibility of using it multiple times. Well worth the purchase.
