Purchased in 2019 and rarely used to drive two Peavy SP5 speakers at a reasonable volume (not very loud) inside my basement. During my most recent use in Oct 2022, the amp stopped working and started sparking which could be seen from the front. I immediately turned off power to the amp, which was smoking pretty good. I'm glad the burning stopped and the smoke didn't trip my fire alarm and fire suppression system. I initially rated the amp as 5 because it met my needs for occasional use; the loud fan didn't bother me much since I knew about that from reading others' reviews. However, I changed my rating to 1 because of the fire hazard. See photos of burnt circuit board.

Great for the price. I run the monitors with this amp in a small room. Has plenty of power and sound is clean pushing 2 Rockville 12". The fans do make noise but it is not offensive. When you walk into the quiet room all you hear is the fans but as you carry on you don't notice them as bad.

Bought it for my church worship to power 2 unpowered speakers and it works just as needed! I have a small building so I dont need much but it does the job! Best bang for your buck available! I always do a LOT of research before buying anything and I’m glad I found this gem! Thank you!

I just want to start by saying GTD Audio is an excellent company to work with. My first amp arivied but it had 2 issues the Fans were way too loud and the protection circuit would cut in and out. I sent a message to GTD Audiobook and within a hour I had a tracking number for the replacement amp. The amp works as described. Just remember it says 3800 watts if you know anything about amp specs 3800 would be peak for 4 ohms, RMS @ 8 ohms is about 300 watts and that’s a lot of power to run a speaker system either efficient speakers or not. I use the amp in my home studio for my main monitors 1973 Advent 3. The THD is extremely low and I get a great snapshot of my project. I would recommend this amp for any home recording studio, home theater, or DJ’s. I will be ordering the GTD wireless mic system. The GTD Audio Company has me sold.

Excellent power amp, especially for the price!!! I also have the GTD TN-150 and the TN-350. They performed incredibly well at a gig I had a couple of weeks ago. I highly recommend these!!!My only complaint is that the holes for rack mounting do not line up properly, so you will have about a half space of empty wasted space above and below this unit in your rack. Basically, you will use 4 spaces to mount a 2 space unit, If you are going to have more than one of these 2 unit amps in your rack, then I would imagine they will mount one right on top the other without the gap, but with any other rack gear that mounts as it should, you can expect a gap. (The 1 space GTD amps line up perfectly the way they should)I still give these 5 stars because they perform so well and they are excellent quality and very affordable.

It works, nice clean signal (aside from very minor 60Hz hum when input is silent), but no surprise that power is over rated. Running 2 VM Audio VAS12SUB's. Does pretty good on power indoors (basement), but lacks in a small outdoor venue. Rated at 2x250w RMS into 8 Ohms, reality is more likely half that. Frequency response not suitable for a sub, 45Hz. BUT - that spec is in the description - foolish of me to overlook. It still punches the bass drum (again, indoors, basement studio), but has noticeable roll off below 50Hz and total drop off at 45Hz. Just ordered a more suitable amp for the job. Submitted for return 5/4/15, if there is no further mention of the return, all went well!! If they give me a hassle, I will update and drop my rating....If you are running a small indoor venue, and use this for mains only, this should suit you. I would only recommend for mains with single 12" woofers @ 8 Ohms; double 12" or single 15" @ 4 Ohms. You should expect adequate volume, but not to shake the house. Would NOT recommend for sub woofers or outdoor venues.**update** GTD Audio is accepting the return/refund, although I have to cover shipping. Seems fair enough....
