I bought this for my Gibson J185 because the hard shell case is extremely heavy for my bad back.Super lightweight, it makes it easy to carry. It protects from scratches and dings but any hard bump would damage the instrument. I chose it because I expected a certain level of quality in material and construction. based upon the Guild logo. It does have decent quality, but don’t expect it to afford bomb proof protection…some other gig bags provide better protection, but this bag weighs 4 lbs, whereas others that have more heavy padding are at least twice this weight.5 stars based upon what it is: a good quality super Lightweight carrying bag, nothing more or less.
