What I like about these are, they fly. What I wasn’t thrilled about is:They are pricey, I paid $24 for 6 of them. I remember these being a lot, lot less when I was a child. They could have printed them on both sides of the plane. A picture of the pilot for example, the print is only on 1 side of the plane. The wood is very flimsy and a child would not be able to assemble without splitting the wood. It is a tight fit.

These are the best yet, really fly well and sturdy enough for the 3 year old.

Let me begin by saying that I'm about to turn 77 years of age. I hadn't thought about these little light-weight airplanes in many years until I saw them on here today. Because now I have grown (and almost grown) Grandchildren now I'm going to have the distinct pleasure of introducing them to the much fun that can be achieved by flying these little Balsam wood planes. I guess the biggest surprise for me was not only to discover that they are available, but that they are being made by the same company that made them back in the '40s when I was getting at least a couple new ones every Spring! Eventually, I'd end up with a wild launch and they ram nose-first into a telephone pole, concrete wall, etc. They are not indistructible but there's not much you can do to hurt them enough that you'd need to replace one! As I best recall, they sold back then for $o.25 per plane!I have a very large field next to my home, just a perfect place to fly them. Too bad that I didn't see them back in March or April since I live in Ohio, we would've then had much more time to fly them before the snow flies! Thank you!Enjoy!D.O'D.

Our family loves throwing these airplanes around outside. Unfortunately, after only a few days, they do tend to start to show wear and tear which affects their performance.

Just like I remember as a kid. They fly well but being balsa wood, they can break when crashed.

For the price, I expected these to at least last a half hour per plane. Each plane broke with in five minutes – or three flights. If the cost were $.50, I would’ve understood that. This was a complete rip off

These are a lot of fun. I buy these before the grandkids come to visit and they provide a lot of outdoor fun. I always explain to the kids that these are going to break. If they treat them carefully they'll last longer before they break, but they will break.Having said that, I bought a different brand last year, and these seemed more fragile than the other brand. It seems like they reduced the thickness of the parts. I say this because they didn't appear to modify the thickness of the cuts into the body, so the parts fit very loosely. Sometimes just the act of throwing them made the wings slide out of position. The kids still had a lot of fun with them, but they became frustrated with always having to adjust or replace parts. I think I'll go back to the other brand next year.

These are nice large gliders. Great party favors! Individually bagged, but two per box. It would be nice if they each came with assembly and tuning instructions instead of having them printed on the box.
