You have to removed the protective cover from both inside and outside the product then the plastic is crystal clear. I don't know if I will ever use it but it was so economical I thought the next time I need to rescue a bird I will have a ready made little cage to keep it in to care for the bird until I get it to a vet or the state wildlife station, that does care for wild birds and animals. I have feral cats and they like to catch birds. Sometimes I find one that is alive and savable, but I have never had a good cage to save them in until I can get them rescued. Now if it ever happens again I am prepared to put the birdie in this little bird carrying cage to get it to help. This product looks very nice and doable. You truly can't beat the price and it looks and feels very nice. The zipper on it works very well. I am pleased with this product.

Bird people - Save yourself some money and get this instead! All I had to do was add a dowel for a perch and this worked perfectly for my baby cockatiel. He was comfortable and relaxed for a nearly 3 hour drive. The material quality isn't anything to write home about.. But at the price I am not complaining. It's sturdy enough for the job and especially since this is mainly for vet visits and emergencies it doesn't need to be of the highest quality. My only minor complaint is the plastic that was used to cover the window - Why did they have to sew it together with the plastic wrap on?? You'll never get all of the little bits of plastic stuck under the seam.. I spent a good hour picking at it with tweezers to ensure my bird wouldn't eat any of it and choke! ...Still worth the price, though. LOL

It's the perfect size for my Quaker parrot! It is very bite proof, and easy to clean. The only thing is that my Quaker's tail drags around, but that couldn't be prevented; Quakers just have long tails. Also, it's good to associate the carrier with treats so the bird doesn't think it's a bad thing. He is very happy to ride around in it and doesn't have a problem being near it. The strap is useless to me, but only because the bird is at a 45 degree angle when the strap is on. I am perfectly fine carrying it by the handle, and it is very sturdy. I would definitely recommend this, and am very happy with my purchase.

Bought this for a quaker parrot for short excursions. It is just an inch or two too short for her to stand without her non-clipped tail bending. She still enjoys it (doesn't fight trying to put her in), but it's too cramped for anything more than 15-20 mins. It's a solid, lightweight product and I would recommend it for hamster and parakeet sized pets.

Easy to get the bird in and out! He tries to chew on the ring holes on the sides which we are trying to prevent. Our bird can see all around and he seems to enjoy the ride.

Have not had to use this yet. Bought it for in case of an emergency or vet visit for the ferret (he's very small) the only thing I'm not thrilled about is when you pull the plastic protector off it's basically impossible to get it all off from around the breathing holes and that is a choking hazard. I will probably go with another product next time.Update: 1/14/23 My ferret can escape out of this unless the zippers are at the top
