The only things that I would change about this handy little self-inking guitar chord stamper are: (1) that it included a 5th fret instead of only 4, and (2) that it was easier to lock/unlock and remove the ink pad for re-inking. Other than that, this little one (1) inch stamper very handy! There’s also a larger size available if you prefer that instead. If you play guitar a lot, personally and/or professionally, you can probably find several ways this gadget could be handy to have around - even in your gig bag (just keep it in a ziplock bag to protect your gear.)

Love this self-inking fretboard stamper! I stamp it in my chord charts for marking chord fingerings.

This thing works like a champ, but it’s huge. I’s like gripping a baseball. Plenty of space on the stamp for markings, but it takes a lot of space in the gig bag.

Works great and is a time saver if you have to write in many chords.

I use this to indicate some tricky guitar chords on our church music that provides only chords and lyrics. For example, I may see that I'll need to play a D2 chord--or a G6, etc. I simply look online for the notes included in the chord and/or fingering diagrams, then stamp my sheet music along the side and use a pen to make circles on the strings/frets.

If you’re looking at this, you know what it’s for. I purchased the small one and it’s great for notating weird or unusual chord shapes on sheet music or charts without tablature. I think the larger one would be too big for that purpose. A couple tips:- Do a couple warmup stamps on separate paper when it’s new or hasn’t been used for awhile. It can be a little over or under inked.- Figure out how the stamp aligns with where you place it. Just like playing the guitar, practice will improve your technique. I had a few missed hits the first couple times.- Use it on a flat, hard surface and don’t stamp twice in the same spot (see tip #1). It will not align with your first try and you’ll have overlapping grid lines.
