Amazon sells a lot of different footrests for guitar players. This one is made from mostly wood. Most of the others are made from rubber-covered metal. Wood is certainly more attractive to my eyes. The metal footrests are more adjustable and are also more stable since they have non-slip rubber on the upper platform and also on the bottom of the legs. The metal ones are mostly cheaper than this wooden footrest. All of the footrests fold up compactly for storage or travel, but the metal ones are a little more compact when folded.
