Son loved this for his new guitar. Nice thick material. Very durable and easy to put on.

Four stars only for the smell. I assume they can’t do much about the smell but it is bad straight out of the package. I placed mine in a plastic bag with a dryer sheet for a day or two and it was ok. The smell goes away and it’s a good strap.

This is a well-made guitar strap that looks and feels great. It's comfortable and sturdy. I use it on my acoustic guitar or bass and it feels comfortable. It's not too fat but still distributes the weight of the instrument on my shoulder well. This is definitely worth the money.

This guitar strap is heavy duty. I got it to replace the cheapy strap that came with my son's guitar. However, when we opened the package, the smell nearly cleared the room. It was way beyond the typical, light, factory smell. I'm talking eye-watering. Immediately, we took it outside to air out on the back patio and left it there. I checked it every few days to see if it had aired out enough to bring it back in the house. Three weeks later, it is better than it was, but the smell is still lingering a bit. It seems to be well-made and heavy-duty, but what's with that smell?!

This review is for the Musily guitar strap with the ‘Metal Embossed Logo”, in black. This strap is made of thick material, much thicker than average for guitar straps in this price range and below. The hardware is made of metal instead of plastic, and the buckle is quite substantial. The hardware is also engraved with decorative designs. The leather ends are two layers thick and also substantial enough that using the rubber washers that came with it as strap locks shouldn’t be necessary with light use until the strap is firmly broken in.Mine is black with gold stitching that stands out nicely, yellowish brass-looking hardware, and dark brown leather ends with a large (about 1 3/8” by 1 5/8”) metal guitar pick shaped logo/medallion/plate thing attached to one of the leather ends. Normally I don’t like big logos on my guitar straps, but this one is integrated so well I really don’t mind. Overall, the effect is quite nice, and will look great on quite a few of my guitars. This strap smelled very strongly of...something, I don’t know what chemical, when I removed the box from the shipping packaging. It’s the same weird smell that comes with many things from overseas. The smell dissipated for the most part after fifteen minutes or so, though I got another strong whiff of it after opening the box the strap comes in. It was strong enough to give me a headache at first, but I put it outside for a little while until it dissipated.Overall, it’s a great strap other than the smell, but that dissipates readily enough that it shouldn’t be an issue unless you don’t have many options for airing it out.

Like a lot of items that are made in China, this one came out of the box with a very strong, very bad chemical smell. Indeed, the box itself has a strong chemical smell. The strap made my home office smell like my house was experiencing an electrical fire. In the time I worked with the strap for this review and got it on a guitar the smell began to give me a headache and I had to take it out in my garage and hang it up to air it out. I also had to open my home office windows (it’s 27 degrees outside). This is a two-inch cotton guitar strap. It comes with a string so you can attach it to the head of an acoustic guitar. It is black with light brown accents along the edge of the strap. It is easily adjustable from 36 to 60 inches long. The strap fabric is heavier than usual. It has double-layered leather ends, and the leather ends are longer than usual strap ends. They measure just over five inches long. One of the strap ends is attached with metal clips. The buckle is made of metal and one of the strap ends has a metal, pick shaped “Melody Pulse” logo on it. The strap ends easily attached to my guitar.Given the extreme smell, I would not recommend buying this strap, bringing it home, pulling it out of the box, putting on your guitar and starting to play right away. I would allow enough time to air it out or you’re going to wind up with a headache or start feeling a bit queasy.Overall, this is a heavier, more substantial guitar strap than the cheap standard two-inch nylon straps you find online or at a guitar store. It’s decorations also give it some personality, but oh, that smell.
