Edit: Do not buy this product. This is not the product that myself and most of the other reviewers here have reviewed. The product we received was a $10 trigger lock. The seller has changed the listing, photos, and price to a different (and likely overpriced product). They do this to make it seem like their new product has rave reviews. Do not buy.I requested this lock to test it out on my rifle, and it seems to fit it pretty well! Like most locks, however, this is only a deterrent. For securing a weapon in the home or when traveling, I think this lock could be a good choice. The chassis and construction of this lock seems solid, but I expect it is the combination lock that is its weakness. Since it is only a three digit combination lock, that means the total number of possible combinations is 1,000. That is 9,000 less than a four digit making it easier to guess the combination. But that would be the hardest way of getting though this lock... except maybe trying to cut it off. When applying pressure to the unlocking bar and rotating the numbered cylinders at the same time, it is possible to feel the gates falling into place. This makes it fairly easy to find the combination within a few minutes. Though I must admit, it is not the easiest combination lock to crack this way. The last thing I have to say about this lock is that, one can still pull the trigger when the lock is installed. Since the locking lug goes through the trigger guard in front of the trigger, one only needs to pull or jerk the lock backwards and the trigger will be pulled. So what is this lock for? Like all locks, this is a deterrent. A way to dissuade others who should not touch or operate your weapon from doing so. Just don't expect it to replace a safe! For the price and my experience with it. I would recommend giving it a try if it fits your risk tolerance.

At the time of writing this review, the link for the trigger lock is bringing up a product page for a gun safe by the same company and I see all trigger lock reviews are landing on the page for the gun safe. Whether this is an unintentional error by the seller is not clear but it needs to be fixed so that the reviews and star ratings are reflected against the trigger lock and not the safe.In brief the device has a 3 wheel combination lock which when correctly set, separates the 2 sides of the lock which can then be clamped through the trigger guard of the weapon (ideally BEHIND the trigger although some have indicated that with certain weapons this is not possible). Setting the new combination is fairly straightforward based on the small instruction sheet. Once the new combination is set, be sure to turn the barrel containing the combo wheels in order to separate the 2 halves. The instructions - at least to me- were not that clear on this step.All in all a functional basic trigger lock which works well. As with any such lock, given time it can be broken. Better would have been 4 dials of course but as a deterrent this is fine for my needs.I hope you found this information helpful 👇

First off, this review is for a 3 digit combination trigger lock. When I follow the link it is now a digital gun safe.This trigger lock is ‘okay’. On a pistol it will keep a child from being able to pull the trigger back as you insert a shaft in the trigger guard and lock the unit down, there is no way to pull it back. On a rifle I was able to wiggle and push enough that I could still in theory activate the trigger. However this does make it much more difficult, but not full proof.Make sure you lock up you rifle still and have this just as a backup if you need to keep a gun somewhere loaded.

This lock works well and provides a more secure method of locking your weapon at the trigger rather than by running a cable through the breach which can be severed and removed without damaging the weapon. This lock can't be removed as easily. It's a better way to secure your firearms if you don't have a gun safe.

This is a durable lock, and the functions feel nice, however it doesn’t fit all guns. I’ve tried on my SD9VE and my Savage shotgun, but neither really hold flush or completely lockout. I’m sure there are others that it would work with, or perhaps I wasn’t using it properly. Overall I’m sure this lock will work and it is made well. Worth a try!

This works very well if you want to add a layer of protection for your firearm against children. It fits well over my Smith & Wesson 22 M&P Compact and stops any curious fingers from pulling the trigger. This could probably be easily broken if someone really wanted to but I have not tried to. The main reason I got this was to protect it from curious children and it does a great job at that.
