cooler works well but the fan is useless and fails after about a week of light use, i it is not a one time issue I've purchased 3 and all fans had the same issue and lifespan, other 20mm blower fans will fit in it but 20mm blower fans in general have a lifespan issue, id avoid this style of heatsink until these fans become more reliable.UPDATE: Apon Further Research The Fan That This Heatsink Comes With (The Risun RFB208N), despite what the sticker claims, is only rated to run at 3.3v-5v and your standard pwm fan header uses a constant 12v, this is the cause of the low durability.

Bought this for my new WD Black SSD going into my new PC build. Looks really good and works like a charm keeping my SSD cool.

I don’t do any gaming but I do keep my computer on 24/7 and this helps keeping the m.2 drive at comfortable temperatures. Even while using the computer I don’t really see significant rise in temperatures.

This review is for the "GUNMJO M.2 2280 SSD Heatsink, 20mm Built-in Cooling Fan, Aluminum Plate-Fin Design, with Thermal pad for PC, Red (Red)GUNMJO M.2 2280 SSD Heatsink, 20mm Built-in Cooling Fan, Aluminum Plate-Fin Design, with Thermal pad for PC, Red (Red)".I used this with a WD Black SSD M2 2280. While the SSD fits fine in the heatsink, it absolutely did not fit if I used the included thermal pads. Whether with both pads, or just one pad, I would have had to place far too much pressure on the SSD to get the base and top to line up for the screws to seat.The heatsink's fan is a three pin fan. I was able to plug this into the motherboard and had no issues with the fan running as expected.I specifically chose the red heatsink as a pop of color amongst all the black of the motherboard and internal components.

Solid build, much better quality than my other cooling Heat sinks.The first thing I notice is that the Heatsink fins are all part of one block, I had problems with other heasinks where the fins were just placed on top of the base with a little bit of glue, well that is not a problem here.The fan is a standard 3 pin fan connector and I like the fact that the fan itself is placed directly on top of the memory controller of the SSD, the hotest part and the air is blown down the memory nodules.Very good quality, I really like it.
