I'm very happy with this item; my cross stitch looks terrific in it! It was not very easy to separate the inner ring from the outer frame piece, but then I saw the little video that suggested soaking it in hot water, and then blowing it dry with a hot hair dryer. That worked perfectly! It became very pliable, and I was able to separate the two pieces easily.

I love these! I have them in two different sizes. It is a little difficult to pull the outer rubber hoop over the inner plastic hoop, but it makes it very tight. I wanted to get matching hoops for a theme I’m doing of 5 patterns of my favorite TV show. (Patterns were purchased on Etsy!)

The hook at the top, when unscrewed, doesn’t actually loosen anything. The plastic on the inside fits so tightly that one of my hoops won’t separate, and the other plastic ring broke when I tried to get it out of the outer ring. It fit so tightly that the pieces won’t fit back together in the “wooden” hoop with a piece of fabric in between. Absolutely not worth it, and a waste of money.

These look great once they are together with a stitch. It is difficult to get a stitch centered but if you put the cloth in before stitching it would be much easier.
