I ordered these shrinky dinks as a summer activity for my nieces and nephews. Their mother and I pulled the set out after the kids were in bed one night, to get a feel for the process. We hadn't tried them as kids, figured we should test them out. And by testing them out, I mean have so much fun with the first round of shrinks that we did a second run-through, to get a handle on the dinks. You know, so we can help the younger kids when we all do it together. As a family. For the children.Except it turns out these are a very fun invention. We "tested" our way through the entire package. It was a really big package. We now have a lot, lot of cool keychains and pendants to gift to friends, extended family, neighbors, the meter man, random door to door salesman, and our favorite amazon delivery people.While we were a shrinkin' and a dinkin', I was a thinkin'. What kind of childhood did we have that our parents never introduced us to the magic of shrinky dinks? What kinds of cruel monsters would keep this bounty of creative joy at bay? With horror, it dawned on me: I bet they tried to show us shrinky dinks. I bet they bought us a big fat set. I bet they sat down to do a test run after we went to bed, and I bet they accidentally test-ran themselves through the entire, very large and awesome set. And then they had to give delightful and highly functional keychains as gifts to everyone they met, for months, reliving their selfishness with every bright, cheerful, and durable trinket gifted.I told my sister my theory as we finished our last test run. All 144 shrinky dinks done, and we made a deal: she'll call a therapist so we can try to get a handle on our shrinky dink shame syndrome, if I order another set...for the kids this time.This is a great kit. It comes with everything you need for a really fun time. Don't do a test run, no need, it's easy. And if you must try it out without the kids, make sure you order a second box before you start. It will cut down on the shame, and minimize the amount of keychains you gift your future therapist.

Overall great but make sure you put shiny side down when heating otherwise they don’t go flat.

Wow. I don’t even know if I want to give this one star. It is NOT user friendly at all. Especially with sizing your different objects. They come out all wonky even trying to catch them in time & flatten them post-back. Air bubbles. They barely came with any instructions except cooking temperature. Glad I’ve used other similar products in the past or else I wouldn’t realize this was a poor quality thing & not a lack of user experience . Very disappointed . This will be going in the garbage.

When I ordered this, I assumed that "144 pcs" meant 144 pieces of printable shrink plastic. However, I realized later that it actually only comes with FOURTEEN (14) pieces of printable shrink wrap paper. The title and images in this listing are pretty misleading, at least as of right now. Yes, it does later specify that the other 130 "items" are not paper at all, but incidental metal rings, but it's still pretty misleading. Even after realizing that the "144" mostly refers to metal rings, the images make it look like you get a bunch of metal keyrings. However, the vast majority of items in this set (100) are teeny tiny little metal pieces. I suppose you can attach these to a tiny hole in the plastic if the hole is very close to the edge of the item. However, there are not a lot of ways you can do much else with it after putting it on the plastic piece, except make a keychain out of it (and there are only 30 keyrings included).That said, this IS printable, and it works ok. I printed two different size images of bees, and they shrunk up well at 325F in a toaster oven. I included a video of them in the oven (the glass front of the toaster oven was a bit dirty, but I didn't realize that until I started filming, and the plastic was already forming, so it's a bit hard to see).Overall, I'd say this is an ok product, and suitable for basic projects. But I don't get a good impression of the brand after seeing that the product information and images are so misleading.
