This housing spreader works great. Worth every penny. Seems to be well made. Carrier wouldn't budge without spreader and fell right out using spreader.

This differential spreader was very easy to assemble. Very easy to use, although you do have to have some strength to you to use it. The bolts provided for assembly could be half an inch longer, but you don't have to tighten the nuts down snug so it works out just fine. The only disappointment is the steel used is a little on the weak side. I have to actually return mine because one of the bars bent during the very first differential rebuild I used it on.

This is the first spreader I have owned. It is very heavy and sturdy. I am using it on some dana 44s with no issues. Makes it easier to remove the carrier when you get it a little to tight.

The box is not strong enough for the product. The bolts were missing. Fortunately that was not a big deal for me but for others it means a delay and additional cost. The box needs an over wrap to secure it.As for the parts that did arrive they appear strong enough. Will be doing a Dana 44 later this week. If there are issues I will update the review.

I ordered this to rebuild a blown locker on my TJ Dana 44. The first one came in and wasn’t welded properly so I couldn’t assemble it. This thing is HEAVY and STOUT! There’s no bending or tweaking it to fit. I sent it back and got a replacement. I only gave it three stars because of this issue. Once I got a functional one in it was exactly what I needed to get the job done. Highly recommend it to anyone attempting diff repairs.

If you do repairs on Dana differentials you need one of these ! Solid built and easy to use, makes setting carrier preload a snap ! no more hammering on and bending thin shims, just spread a little and drop in the thinnest shims and get it right !
