I have a John Deere D130. My cable broke so I needed a replacement. I simply typed in my exact model in Amazon and I got this product. It is WRONG! The spring size is wrong and how it connects to the pulley will not work at all. Better accuracy from Amazon and its products would be nice.

This part fit my John Deere S100 perfectly. Mine snapped, mid mow, by the coil and had to be replaced. I mow about 3-4 acres every week to keep the grass low to deter snakes so getting a match was crucial. This arrived in 2 days. Was able to take the old one off, this was the hardest part, putting the new one on was not bad at all. I do recommend taking pictures to help with reassembly. All in all probably about 30 minutes give or take to take off and put back on. If you don’t have issues getting the coil off of the mower deck like I did (original part had a slightly longer tail which made it very difficult) probably could swap in 10-15 minutes. Again I have a S100 and this was a perfect fit.

To big for an E120 John Deere and the bracket on the deck is not adjustable making it unusable

It was easy to figure out, I watched a YouTube video and replaced my old broken one. I've never replaced one before or really repaired any lawnmower or car so if i can do it, you can too. I'm not very strong even, yet I could put the spring back on after replacing this (the spring that goes under this under the hood)

Quick to arrive, fit John Deere L130 kind of a hassle to install the upper end but the deck end is simple. Either way it's cheaper than a shop by far.
