About this item

  • The MPU-9250 module features a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyro, and 3-axis chip for accurate motion tracking.
  • It operates at a power voltage of 3-5V and offers both I2C and SPI communication modes for easy integration into various systems.
  • The gyro range can be adjusted to +/-250, +/-500, +/-1000, or +/-2000dps, allowing for precise measurement of rotational movements.
  • With an accelerator range of +/-2G, +/-4G, +/-8G, or +/-16G, this module can accurately detect and measure linear accelerations.
  • The module has a compact size of 15mm*25mm and uses a durable plastic material. It is available in a blue color and has a pin spacing of 2.54mm for easy connection.

Mag does not work, I2C cannot detect it on the board and even ran the board on 3V max. Must have arrived dead so I’m going to need a replacement. Very frustrating.

Magnetometer gryo accel all axis work. After purchasing I noticed it said something about a 3axis ‘chip’ for accurate motion tracking. Apparently referring to the magnetometer. Thought maybe it wouldn’t work when I got it why wouldn’t they just say magnetometer? But it did, it also worked better than the previous more popular 3pack version. On of those came with a dead gyro axis and the magnetometer didn’t apear to work as well on those. I bought two of these and both worked. I used in several configurations. Two at the same time on seperate spi with on using magnetometer on i2c. It was a challenge figuring out how to get magnetometer working as I’m not a professional Programer and all mpu’s like this on here are likely clones. I used ‘who am I’ to find the correct addresses, and then delayed initialization between magnetometer and ensured magnetometer initialized before gyro and accel. I wasn’t able to get these Amir any other mpus from different suppliers working if I tried putting the magnetometer and gyro accel on the same i2c bus. Probably because of lack of know how. But I did get them working on separate i2c and the version I ended up using was gyro accel on spi and magnetometer on i2c just to have the extra i2c bus on esp32s3 for other sensors. Anyway I hope these stay in stock ordering another right now.
