Gutes Gerät - mit einfacher Bedienungerfreut vielleicht nicht jeden Papa, wenn die stillende Mutti mal ein/zwei Portionen auf Vorrat für den nächtlichen Einsatz von Papa bereitstellt :)Aber auch gut für Reisen & Situationen, wo Stillen nicht immer so problemlos geht

So this is my 2nd one to buy, I bought one with my first baby and I finally got smart and decided to buy a 2nd one for the next baby. This is so I could rotate it when one is being washed and sanitized. I bought this one because I liked the cap, but now I wish I would have bought the kind that has the base. The hakaa can be top heavy and can easily be tipped when setting it on the table. I place it in a tupperware to keep it supported up until I can get up and put the milk away.The Hakaa provides good suction for one breast while breastfeeding the other. I contemplated getting a milk catcher, but I prefer the suction component to the hakaa. It’s a good alternative to pumping.

I’m able to freeze 1-3 oz a day without even trying. I use this during our first morning feed and it’s a game changer. I don’t have to worry about trying to fit in a pumping session. It’s also helped increase my supply.Flip the flange back and squeeze the bulb before applying to your breast. This will give you a secure hold and the best output.I love how easy it is to clean too! So much easier than my electric pump. I would suggest any breastfeeding mom use this from day one. I didn’t start til 4 weeks and missed out on a whole lot of milk that got wasted into my breast pads.

I ordered one of these and received the older model without realizing that they were selling two models at random. I thought it worked nicely when I tried it that morning but was disappointed to find out that the measurements on the side were completely wrong. I thought I had pumped an ounce the first time but when I transferred it into another bottle I realized it was only half an ounce. Pretty wrong. I double checked with another container just to make sure. I ordered a second one though because I thought it worked pretty well and it would be good to have one in the diaper bag. The second one was the newer model. The measurements are correct but it didn’t seem to work as well. So I’m a little lost as to what I ultimately think of these. I wish the first one had the correct measurements because I am logging what I pump so it’s a bummer to have to transfer it into another container to get a measurement. However these are pretty handy for morning pumping or to relieve engorgement. They don’t work so well for me in the afternoon. It is a lot easier if I wake up in the middle of the night and my breasts hurt to just pop these on instead of setting up my electronic pump and hands-free pumping bra. And I do think this would be useful for travel. I do wish you had the option of which model you got. And I wish my older model had the right measurements.

This thing saved me! I'm barely a just-enougher, meaning daycare was giving more milk than I was pumping for the day. With the haakaa, I'm able to save the extra 2-3oz a day to top off my bottles for daycare. I'm able to keep up with what she needs for her bottles! Do yourself a favor and watch a youtube video on how to CORRECTLY put this on. It will not fall off. The Haakaa will easily fall over, so I like that the top is provided with it. Very easy to use and easy to clean. Definitely worth the purchase!

I’m a first time mom. Needed to pump to build up a supply for my return to work. Time and again pumping fell to the bottom of my todo list because of all the prep and clean up work associated with an electric pump. Saw rave reviews about the Haakaa on the Instagram page @LegendairyMilk (highly recommend the page for breastfeeding support) and decided to try it out. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!Super easy to use. The first time I used, I followed other reviewers suggestions and popped the flange back before applying suction. I had three ounces in less than 10 minutes! For a manual pump it’s impressive. Over time I felt more comfortable with the suction and was able to wash dishes, vacuum and fold laundry all while I was pumping, just watch out for knocking it too hard or when you hear/feel the initial air release. Its really nice that it’s a kind of like a “set it and forget it” device and doesn’t require u to use your hands.Perfect for busy mom. Its convenient enough to where I can bring it to grandmas and pump a little bit of fresh milk before I head off to my job. It’s also nice to take advantage of the letdown and catch milk from other breast while breastfeeding baby. Each time I pump my supply gets bigger and it seems that it fills up faster. I feel like I already need to upgrade to the bigger size.I’ve found some things through trial and error that I’d like to share:- Lean forward while applying the initial flange suction.- Suction is most efficient when the bulb is fully expanded. When flow slows, only squeeze a little bit until some air escapes and slowly release the pressure until it’s fully expanded. The draw from this pulls a lot more breast milk then when there is a dent in the bulb.- If possible, apply a warm compress to the breasts before pumping. It increases the output.- DO NOT ALWAYS TRUST THE CAP! It’s not the most secure. To make it more secure, put the grey cap on and pull back the pink tab that reveals the hole. Squeeze out a little air and while still applying pressure replace the pink tab. This uses the same suction and will provide a better hold. But again, it’s not the most secure. It will not hold up if dropped.WARNING: This pump is life changing and will increase your supply.

Arrived in a green bag with the lid and pump boxed separately. I'm not sure if I was supposed to sterilise in the microwave, but I did anyway. Left it on my bedside table with the lid the night before and used it for the first morning feeds and saved 60mL of milk that otherwise would've been wasted in a nursing pad.If you roll back the flange and then attach it suctions in really well even if you're lying down. I want sure it'd work for me (40H)but it worked flawlessly and the one time it did lose suction bc baby kicked it hard, I heard the pop of it releasing and was able to grab it before it spilled a drop. Definitely recommended!
