These are cheap and work amazing. Dont bothing with other off brand amazon shocks, I have tried a few and these work the best. They come with a bit of oil, I'd fill em up with your own oil but theyll run with what they got.

Just replaced 1 shock. works well better screws as well. Flimsy bag though lost some screws through a hole.

Purchased for HBX 18859E. All 4 shocks on my sons car are working perfect. 3 of 4 on my car good. 1 of 4 came put together incorrectly.Internal c-clip to the shock oil flow valve missing, causing the second to break. I constantly have to fiddle with until I find new c-clips.Replaced shock oil with Team Losi 40wt shock oil. If I didn’t have to tinker with the 1 shock, I’d be 100% pleased.

If you're not changing included shock oil be sure to double check the top and bottom blue caps on the shock bodies are tight. This is an emulsion style shock so oil may weep out between the to top plastic mount insert and aluminum cap if not tight. And if the bottom isn't tight it won't keep the double o-ring seated properly. For me the two of the bottom ones were loose while all the top ones were pretty tight.Springs are coiled not quite consistent. Some will rub against the threaded shock body.These are great for the price for casual RC bashing. If you want some of the nicer stuff then you'll be looking at some well known brand hobby upgrades that this price range can get you just a pair of shocks.Measurements and extra info for those who are looking for cheap shocks for other chassis:- The shock overall outer diameter is 14mm measured at the preload collar.- Eye to eye length is 58mm.- 15.5mm shock travel.- Spring inner diameter is 11mm.- Spring length unloaded is approximately 37mm.- Spring seat has an outer diameter of 13mm.- Eyelet insert inner diameter is around 2.3mm.- The shock shaft diameter is 2.5mm. Unknown thread size on the shaft end. It's not M2.5 or 4-40. M2.3?- Shock body bore is 7mm.- 2 hole piston.Side note. Prior to purchasing this I the only other review dated just over a week ago containing pictures of some shocks that are all aluminum and are two different lengths for the front and rear. They do not match up to the four identical length shocks now pictured in the listing when I made my purchase which what I got are correct.

I have a Haiboxing 18859E Rampage, the original version. There are a couple of upgrades that I highly recommend. This one is probably the best first upgrade that you can do. The original shocks are just plastic with springs and do a 'just okay' job of absorbing impact. But, the rebound is very stiff toy like.Adding these all metal, oil capped shocks (and moving the connecting screws to the highest position) improves the performance dramatically. The rebound is smoother, with less bounce, allowing the wheels to stay in better contact with the ground. You can also adjust the stiffness with the ring nut at the top of each shock. This improves the buggy's traction and overall performance.In the pictures, you can see that I have done this upgrade AND upgraded the axles and hubs with all metal parts as well.I'm very happy with this upgrade. Five stars.

I received installed and tested my new Oiled Filled Shocks.They Look Great! The Blue Anodized Shocks with White Springs are AWESOME!These Shocks where a little heavier than the stock shocks, this is a good thing, my Haiboxing 1/18 Truggy holds to the ground and keeps the RC running smooth...I knew when I ordered this budget hobby grade RC, I would be replacing the stock bouncy spring loaded shocks soon.I have about 40 years experience in the RC hobby. I wanted a durable and affordable RC the Haiboxing RC is good, the servo finally stripped teeth and I have ordered a new servo as well.You can't go wrong with these upgraded shocks, you will not be disappointed....Happy RCing, A great hobby for anyone...
