The Hakko CHP SS-SA pattern SS very-fine point tweezers have long, thin handles and tapered tines for use in electronics assembly applications close to heat sources. The tapered tines and very-fine tips provide access to tight areas and are used for delicate precision work. The non-magnetic stainless steel construction resists corrosion. The tweezers is 5-1/4" (135mm) long.
American Hakko Products manufactures soldering and desoldering tools. The company, founded in 1984, is headquartered in Valencia, CA.

There are many tweezers claimed to have high quality and tried a few. Some are impressive but not as reliable and precise. Had multiple CHP tweezers for the circuit board micro-soldering mainly 0201. The quality become critical when making jumper wires for damaged traces using 38 or 40 gauge magnet wires. CHP tweezers never fail with the task. The tips are aligned very well without losing strength and hardness.

These are a good decent pair of tweezers. However, they're far from Swiss quality. Recently just purchased Dumont Swiss tweezers and there's a huge difference. The biggest difference is in the force required to close the tweezers. The Swiss brand requires just a light touch and very light pressure to close, allowing you to handle very tiny watch parts with ease. The Hakko requires more force to close, which leads to inaccuracies in applying the right amount of pressure to hold a tiny part precisely, and prevent them from flying off (too tight a grip) or dropping them (not enough pressure).I guess I'll stick to handling watch parts with the Dumonts, and the hakko for larger parts and general use requiring less precision.

Very fine tips they seem to be doing ok. I wish the spring force pushing the tines apart was stronger, if you lay them on one side they almost completely close

still trying to get used to these. i usually have the type that i need to add a little pressure for them to close and the Hakko are very soft to squeeze so things are always flying every where when i try to grab something. but i do like them very much.

Crazy fine points. Great for the repair of an LVDS connector on a 2012 MacBook Air.
