This iron is provided with a thin, burn resistant cord and cool running grip, which cools the grip nice and cool even when operating at 450C for extended periods of time. The quality is fine for your average Joe, sure. Ok connectors, silicone wire instead of your cheap ABS, and a decent feel (though I think I'd prefer a slightly rubberized handpeice grip instead of the bare plastic on this one). But it's not at all worth $70 for this. I can see why there are so many handpieces from "secondary" manufactures on the market.

This is an expensive iron, you have to buy the tip separately. I will put the heat where it's needed, and works very well for a micro iron.

This is a fairly expensive tip holder, works well and is ideal for fine pitch rework IMHO. One of the few tool additions that makes me smile every time I use this tip.

It’s Hakko, they make good products! This is a must have for working on small electronics. The fitment into the power supply is a little wobbly, not sure if it is the iron or the station. The grip on the iron is nice. For the price though it would have been nice to see an indicator ring like on the normal handle.

This Hand piece is amazing. I have been using it for a while now and as always Hakko never disappointing. Get quality item. A little pricey but you get what you pay for in the end. Whenever i need another i will be coming back for one of these.
