This item was super cheaply made. First off, it never lighted up (which was the main reason I bought it), and secondly, it broke on the FIRST NIGHT we used it with company over. Geez, I thought it would at least be useful a few times but nope. I'm just gonna buy a regular tambourine instead..

I bought this for my 10 Month old and it's great. He enjoys making noise and pinching the tambourine metal discs. He also likes the lights. Super cheap (shipping was more than the product) . Arrived fast. Definitely worth it.

"Came with OLD batteries that were exploded inside. I was concerned it may not work, so I called the seller. I was told they were demo batteries, which I understand & it should work. My concern was they were exploded and it may not worked, or the acid ruined the electronics It ended up working after I put new batteries in it, however, their customer service response was just okay in my opinion Other than that it was shipped on time. Just a heads up"

I did not receive this particular item, I received two of the other one sent. Therefore, cannot rate the 5 chime tambourine, it was 4 chimes and light blue. The tambourine was cute but child size, the children love it.

Don't let the price deter you, this is a solid tambourine and can take some abuse. My daughter has been hitting it on everything, dropping it and shaking it pretty hard. The size is large enough for a man's hand to hold without scraping knuckles and you can get a solid grip. It is powered by three AAA batteries and I have not had to replace them as of yet.Lights - WARNING if you are epileptic or will be around others who may be using this please mention it or play it with it off. The lights are bright and there are three settings with speeds and patterns.
