I had to return these because it didn't work for my cages, plus the holes were too large

I’ve had Guinea pigs for 5 years and I’ve tried every kind of hay feeder. This one is by far my favorite. You can put it as high as you want so the hay won’t get on the cage floor and it’s easy to refill as the top is completely open. However, if you’re buying the 2 pack I would recommend going out and buying 2 extra washers. I have the Midwest Guinea pig cage and I had to use both washers just for one feeder.

I’m hoping these will help reduce hay waste. My rabbits seem to eat well out of it.It does slip a little bit off the side of the cage but it is easily fixed. They are a little smaller than expected (less than a foot) but they do hold a good amount of hay. The plastic is fairly easy to clean also.

I thought this would be a pain and the guinea pig wouldn't like it, but he can use it just fine with no complaints! Hay does still get everywhere, but that is because he pulls it out and puts it everywhere. There has not been any chewing on this holder either; a nice suprise!

keeps the hay more neat while the rabbits eat instead of being all over their hutch where they poop

So far so good after a week. The cavies tried to move it around but gave up and ate. Reduces mess and waste SUBSTANTIALLY! I have used half the hay with these feeders because the hay stays inside the feeder and also doesn’t get contaminated from their waste.

These were a lot larger than expected which was really nice.My main complaint is that the edges were sharp, like the edges of the holes. I have a skinnypig and was concerned that his face may get cut, so I filed the ones closest to his level. It made some of them worse unfortunately, especially on the beige one, so I gave him the blue one to try which was a lot better where he would be eating from.I resorted to pulling a lot of the hay out of the holes for him. Unfortunately this caused him to stop consuming as much hay and as a result, he became ill. The first day he ate about 1/2 of his normal amount, but the second day he hardly got any, like maybe 1/4. I regret putting this in his cage.He is better now that I've replaced it with a bowl, but just fyi that the edges are a little unfinished in places, wouldn't buy for a skinnypig especially since they have only a little fur on their nose. Also awkward for a young or small animal. The plastic is also very soft and thin and I worried that he would just chew through a lot of it anyway. It seems the holes were too awkward to get hay out of(too thick an area in between holes) and also the fact that it was so large I think made it awkward for my little pig to eat from.A wooden manger or bowl is a better option. As it goes, you get what you pay for.

I really liked these. Keeps the hay in one spot and my guinea pig enjoys pulling out the pieces. Awesome product!
