I was looking for a stand for a bass trumpet, which is a fairly rare instrument. I tried standard trumpet stands and a flugelhorn stand, none of which worked. I contacted Hamilton directly who said that this stand was so adjustable that it would almost certainly fit. They were right! I adjusted it to fit my instrument perfectly! It holds it securely. The only reason I knocked it down one star is that it has two folding legs. The legs are attached with a screw and self-locking nut. Unfortunately, if you fold it often, the screws tend to loosen so you need to keep a small wrench and Philips head screw driver on hand to tighten it.Overall, I would purchase then again. In fact, I'm considering purchasing another one to replace a 40+ year old stand I have from the days of my youth that I'm using with my standard trumpet.

Certainly meets the need as a stand for my Soprano sax. The stand is slightly wobbly at its highest setting.

Good use of money, it really kept my trumpet up and still works after a few years of use.
