gold plated tends to have disadvantage for magnetic properties, I prefer non-gold plated for better magnet contact strength. - just a theory

The MagSafe was absolutely brilliant, because plug in pins get bent and or stuck and it’s a huge liability. THIS product is GREAT because it replicates the mage safe so that ANY usb C that can take power can plug and use this. Must buy for all modern laptops.

My laptop only has two USB-C sockets. One is for connecting the power supply; the other is for all external connections. The daily plug-in and plug-out compromise the USB-C interface port. The magnetic adapter alleviates my concerns significantly. Attaching and detaching the magnetic adapter without stressing the laptop's USB interface port is relatively easy. Magnetic strength is vital to keep a steady connection. Small movements of the laptop won't cause the adapter to detach from the laptop. These additional connector tips allow me to use the same USB-C cable to cover more USB-C-based devices.
