I used it for myShower wand but the hole doesn’t fit the standard US size of the shower hose so I had to install another holder for this to work, so be warned. Update: its been a week and the valve has failed, what a piece of junk.

Trim piece will not fit over body of the valve. It leaves pipe threads showing, looks bad and also makes it hard to keep water from getting in behind wall without using a lot of sealant.

This is a solid brass chrome plated handheld shower head holder and shut-off valve. My shower head hose end is too large to fit the holder slot, so I bought a separate wall mount holder. Most hose ends will fit the holder, alas mine is a Grohe, which is larger than the average. Nevertheless, it’s a great shut-off valve. Note: if your shower arm has male threads you will need a 1/2” NPT coupling. I got a smooth polished brass one at my local hardware store. They are also available from Amazon.

High quality and just what we needed to mount our handheld sprayer to our wall and be able to adjust the valve to on and off. A lot of the handheld sprayers with the on off buttons just were not aesthetically pleasing. So this gave us the option to pick out the sprayer without worrying if it can turn on and off. Which is great for bathing kids and washing the dog without getting a wash yourself. Heavy and very well made.

if you want a flood of water in the making in your bathroom, this is the perfect stuff...after 3 threads it doesnt not go further,, big problem with the thread machining tolerance (mabe a over coating of chrome on threads while its outside diamater was already busted .... it shouldnt not be sold on amazon.. it looks cute but next time ill make sure to buy form a trusted buyer.

This type of shut off/ on valve works great for a hand held shower wand. It allows the shower head to stay on while the hand held is functional. If you add a secondary shut off at the shower head only the handheld will work. Less expensive than the traditional multi valve set up that is usually installed.

I like this, very much. It's attractive, works well, and holds the shower wand I got for it well.Cons: I had to use Both pipe dope and tape to stop the leaks from the threaded end. I haven't done a lot of plumbing recently, but apparently that's a thing now, because the threads of everything are so poorly made, that you need to really goop it up, on top of the tape, to make a good seal. Happened with every threaded connection I made, and I was wondering what I could possibly be doing wrong that all the pipes were leaking so badly. Then the store clerk told me you have to use both now. (CHINA! Grrr!!)Other bad thing, due mostly to the goop, tape fiasco, is that you'll spend some extra time figuring out how much tape and goop to use, that will stop the leaks, but still allow you to turn this to the position you want. My first few tries ended up with the water coming out the top, then sides, when tightened. (I found 3 wraps with the tape, and a generous slobber of goop got me positioned where I wanted to be, and no more leaks.)
