The item I received would not hold vacuum or pressure due to leakage past the seals at the sliding collar (changes pump from vacuum to pressure). Suspect it was just one of those 1 / 1,000 that does occur during assembly. Otherwise the pump seemed to be a quality item, metal housing and robust. The item was returned to Amazon, refund completed without incident. Might try re-ordering...undecided at the moment.

Within the same day I ordered it i tested if it would hold pressure using my finger it doesn't it seemed already used the audacity to send me one thats been broken and used is infuriating since now I have to waste time returning it.Leaking

Just opened the package. Put my finger over the end of the pump. Will not hold pressure. Internal leak. Vacuum side works as designed. Construction looks good but if it does not work as designed then it is garbage.

pressures up but as soon as you release the handle it bleeds down. have it blocked right off but will not hold pressure

I used this to pressure test the lower unit on my outboard motor. Saved me a trip to the “fix it” shop and the cost of having a technician perform the same test.

This pump works ok but does not hold pressure. I had to put a small ball valve in line to stop bleed back.

I have used this pump several times on carburetors and other items to test for leakage either by pressure test or vacuum test. Has a selectable collet at the front of the pump to switch pressure or vacuum. Nice kit plastic holder to keep all your different fittings in .. Works very well and would recommend to others needing this tool.*** Issues: the only issue that I have had is the bolt that holds the trigger to the housing - screw some how came unscrewed and fell out.. and the pump was not working until I replaced the new screw to the handle.RECOMMEND: If you purchase this pump I do recommend to remove the screw and Loctite into place to eliminate what happened to me wont happen to you.

used this to bleed my trailer brakes that had too much air to bleed traditionally. Switched it over to negative pressure and put the tube over the bleeder valve. I recommend a hose clamp on the tube over the bleeder valve and dripping brake fluid over the whole mess to prevent air leaking in around the tube or around the bleeder threads. Let me get my trailer brakes working quickly, didn't have any issues with it holding pressure or anything.
