I got this for photography, and also for my indoor plant lights. This is a pretty nifty unit. Easily fits in my hand and seems pretty durable in case I should drop it. The display is easily readable although, it may be a bit difficult to read in daylight. But I doubt I'll do that much since I only use lighting indoors and that's where I expect to use it the most. The buttons are a good size; not too big nor too small. And can easily be used one handed. It even comes with a cover for the sensor that's attached to the unit, so you don't lose it. This is my first light meter, so I don't have anything to compare it to for accuracy. But so far, I'm pleased. Wish I had it when I had an aquarium. But I do now. I'd recommend.

This is really nice, came with batteries, easy to understand and I really like that it checks the temperature as well as has a cover that covers up the light probe part. The cover is attached too so you don’t have to worry about misplacing it. It seems to be accurate enough but I don’t have anything else to compare to it. It’s light weight and easily held in the hand. So far I am really happy with it and will use it to help adjust the plant lights I have for optimal growth.

We've been struggling with lighting for photography for a while, complaining about how bright something was, or how dark another shot was. Getting this digital light meter really helped us understand lighting conditions a lot better and made it much easier to adjust the positioning of the light sources. This digital light meter is fairly simple to use (if you need to adjust the temperature reading from C to F press the hold button while you power it on). Other than that just hold the device and go. We did test out the device in various lighting conditions, and with a sampling rate of about a second it updates very quickly. The high contrast black background means this can be read even in bright light conditions. It does need 3 AAA batteries (included) and it's still going strong after a day of heavy use without needing to change the batteries. We did test this out against several lasers and flashlights we had, and it was interesting to see the change in light intensity readings based on device size - even with UV.It's a great light meter for the price and will come in handy as we continue our picture taking journey.

This light meter is very easy to use and is also made well!It even came with batteries, which is pretty rare nowadays!I'm mainly using this to monitor the light my plants are getting and will also use it for certain photography situations. It measures the lux and candle power of the light source.I kind of wish that it showed the PPFD of the light for my plants. This is no big deal though since a simple Google search translated the LUX to PPFD for me.I don't have anyway testing the accuracy of this meter but I believe that it is accurate enough for my purposes.

This meter is very simple to operate and measures the ambient lighting in both foot-candles and lux measurements. It is pretty much drop simple to use but does come with instructions. I found those necessary to change the temperature reading from C to F however. I don't have any lab grade equipment to measure it against but the included paperwork states that it is calibrated to always be within 4% of actual conditions. A useful tool for lighting reference.

I was skeptical about this light meter given its lower price compared to other options, but it's proven to be a great value. The package arrived quickly and included everything needed - the meter with sensor cap (attached via handy lanyard), AAA batteries, and dual-language manuals. Operation is simple enough for beginners like me, and the bright display remains perfectly readable even in dark studio conditions. Build quality feels solid, not cheap as I feared, leaving me confident it will last. For photographers needing accurate readings without breaking the bank, this meter delivers where it counts

The recorded temperature difference is 7 degrees, the recorded measurement illuminance is about one-tenth of the actual value, the display is extremely inaccurate, I will not use it.

Nice light meter that is versatile, works great, and comes at a nice price.Easy to set up and intuitive to use, the results seem to be very accurate while testing with some studio lights.Build quality is nice too and feels like its durable and would survive a drop.Range is wide for brightness and color temps, and it's helped me balance out my studio light set up a bit.
