I’ll start by listing the positives… the box that comes with this sewing kit is quite nice. There are several accessories included like a pair of scissors, extra bobbins, several colors of thread, and a seam ripper which definitely come in handy for any sewing kit. I ordered this kit for when just a quick fix is needed and I don’t feel like setting up my full size machine.With that being said, this handheld sewing machine is poorly made with the absolute flimsiest plastic. It’s powered by 4 AA batteries, which is nice, however it’s clunky to hold, threading the machine is difficult, the power button slides to the off position on its own, and this machine is only capable of sewing the thinnest of materials. The metal piece that feeds the thread to the needle is so thin it bent on the first use.I attempted to sew the seam of a lightweight sweater that came unraveled, however the fabric was too thick to fit under the arm. Hemming a pair of jeans would be impossible. If you do manage to get your fabric under the sewing arm, be careful to hold the last stitch and tie a knot as your stitching WILL unravel immediately.It’s just not worth the money for the limited amount of projects this machine can handle. I could do a better job hand sewing small repairs and don’t believe this item is worth the price.

Got this just to have in case I needed to quickly fix something. It’s definitely handy to have. The box is nicely made and sturdy. The carving is weird. I think it’s supposed to be “Tomorrow will be better.” The kit has several small spools of thread, sewing scissors, a nice thread cutter, and several other sewing accessories. The little sewing machine is handheld and runs on batteries. I wish it had a way you just charge it, but the batteries are easy to replace when needed. I wouldn’t say it’s great for anyone doing serious projects, but it’s a nice kit for beginning sewers or just quick fix projects.

I grabbed this because I have been wanting to learn how to sew and it seems perfect for a beginning. It comes with everything you may need and the box is a good wood (probably not real wood but it is sturdy) box to hold everything. The box has 3 compartments to hold all the items.There's a good variety of color thread and needles to do many products. I'm not sure how long the little machine is gonna hold up for, but for the little things I want to do and learn before I more on to an actual machine, this is gonna be perfect!

This handheld sewing machine kit comes in a nice decorative wooden box. The kit includes the mini cordless sewing unit, a sizing ruler, spools of thread, metal bobbins, scissors, a seam ripper and pin cushion, needles, buttons, and a power adapter. The machine also supports two power options, the included 6V adapter, or 4 AA batteries (not included).I think this kit would be ideal for the occasional sewing task. It's a go-to for quick sewing, and it’s certainly beginner-friendly as well. It would be a good gift for a sewing starter, or a nice addition for everyday quick sewing repairs. You could even do light DIY on thinner fabrics with this machine. In my opinion, this unit is for lighter tasks, but its portability makes it especially useful. The whole kit is a standout. As bundled it's a very nice value, it’s useful, and I like it.

I grabbed this mostly on a whim. I needed to fix a hem, wasn’t about to drag out a full-sized sewing machine (or buy one), and figured, worst case, I’d be mildly annoyed. Turns out, this thing is surprisingly useful.The wooden sewing box is legit, not some cheap afterthought. It’s sturdy, well-made, and not an eyesore to leave out. Everything inside has a proper place, which is more than I can say for most of my junk drawers.The sewing machine itself? Definitely a "don’t judge me by my size" situation. It’s handheld and cordless, yes, but actually works. It handled a few basic repairs without issue. You’re not going to sew a wedding dress with it, but that’s not the point. It’s for quick fixes, small projects, and those "I’ll do it later" things you never actually get around to.It comes with a full kit, needles, bobbins, scissors, the works. Nothing fancy, but functional. Think of it as a beginner’s crash course in sewing tools, or a ready-to-go travel set for people who don’t want to haul around a big machine just to reattach a button.Instructions are, well, non-existent. I suggest a couple of YouTube videos to figure out how to work this thing. And it runs on 4x AA batteries, so you’re not tethered to an outlet.In short, it does what it says it will, looks nicer than it needs to, and hasn’t broken after the first few uses, which already puts it ahead of most impulse Amazon purchases. Would I recommend it? Yep. Especially for people who want something easy, portable, and functional without overthinking it.
