They make using this way, but it’s not! Very difficult to clamp onto whatever you’re trying to sew unless it’s the thinnest piece of fabric out there. It’s not been useful to me.

Waste of money! There is no way to rewind the bobbins, so you basically have to spend money any time that you need more thread. And what are you supposed to do with the bobbins once they are empty?The stitches don’t lock at the end so you have to manually tie a knot and your stitches pull right out if you are not careful.

Bought this for my son who is trying out his new hobby with patches and altering pants. This is a good way to start from small projects and eventually create something bigger in the long term. It functions like a real sewing machine and the value is very affordable. You can either use it with 4 AA batteries or a USB cable.
