When the boox note air 2 launched I purchased it primarily as a pen tablet for taking handwritten notes on technical documents. I did not expect it would leave my desk often. A short 1.5 years later, I found myself carrying it around just for reading on the nice display. However, a thin slippery tablet isn't ideal for any reasonably rough handling. It's also surprising how much I missed holding a book. This thick leather folio fully solves these shortcomings.I bought this in May 2024. It protects the tablet; defends the screen from scratches when stowed, and provides enough cushion to sooth any worries about placing the device down with too little care. It's no hard case, but it does enough to counter the obvious fragility of the naked tablet. The material quality of the leather is excellent. It's thick and resilient, but soft. The stitching is very robust, but there's not much room for fitting more than a few cards into the pockets. More capacity is not necessary. Even after heavy use for 6 months the leather has barely even started to form a patina. The two book covers are fairly ridged, so it's easy to hold open on your lap like a book. The spine is flexible so it's also easy to fold the cover fully back and hold one-handed. The resulting arrangement is thick enough to grip comfortably and the tablet is securely held in its four corner pockets. No worry about it falling out unintentionally. The spine is coincidentally sized to hold a thick stylus pen when the cover is closed. I find that spot to be ideal temporary storage for my Lamy Al-Star. Unfortunately the pen sleeve is much too narrow for a thick pen. These are very minor drawbacks however. The attention given to the folio's construction more than makes up for it. The tablet can be easily charged while remaining in place. Also, the back cover has a extra cut of leather sewn to it. This extra touch is placed perfectly to ensure the tablet stays flat and well-supported when placed on a desk.In conclusion: This is a brilliant example of leather craft. It is made precisely to order, with care and attention exceeding my own in some places. That is high praise.

I love this leather cover. I waited two weeks because I wanted to give a thorough review. It is obvious these covers are made one at a time and not on an assembly line. The stitching is sturdy and straight. I believe the embossing is done with a laser. This makes the letters clear, sharp, and easy to read. The screen on these e- paper devices are easy to crack if they are bent while carried in a bag or piled with heavy books. This is a cover and has no protection against this type of damage. Thechance of this type of damage can be reduced by placing a stiff backing behind the device. The leather corners easily allow this modification.

This was not designed for the Tab Ultra as claimed. I selected the Tab Ultra on checkout and the top left leather strap covers the fingerprint/power button. The front flap is a piece of leather, nothing is used to hold its shape so its quite floppy. There isn't a closure mechanism so along with being floppy it doesn't stay closed. The leather itself is off unknown quality. It's not the worst thing I've purchased on Amazon, though it certainly isn't the best not does it truly fit the description from the seller.

The product is advertised to fit the BOOX tab ultra, and while the tablet fits (barely) in the corner straps, it isn’t made for the tablet at all. The power button is half covered (see pic), there’s no cut out for the camera, and you must remove the tablet from the case just to charge it (see pics). I contacted the company concerning this, but because it was customized, I couldn’t return it.I like the product. If it was actually made for the tablet - like it says it is - it would be 4 star (the case adds a LOT of weight, so not 5). But unfortunately, given that it’s hard to take in / out of the case, and you must in order to use the camera or charge it, it’s useless to me. It should get a1 star for that, but as stated, it’s built well, so I gave it 2. Btw, it ships from China if that concerns you. I paid extra to get it quicker, and I did get it pretty quick. (4-5 days if I remember correctly)Hope this helps your purchase decision. God bless.

Hands down the best cover I ever bought. The leather is very high quality: thick, souple and light at the same time- it protects well, is extremely comfortable to hold, and smells great. I look forward just to holding it when I go to read, and I know the leather will only get even softer with use and time!I ordered this for the Onyx Tab Ultra, and the fit is perfect. The tablet is secure, the pen holder is the perfect size, and you can freely angle the screen for typing/viewing mode. Stitching on the leather is beautiful and strong. I'm extremely happy with it. Highly recommend!NOTE REGARDING U.S. DELIVERIES:So this is ships via a company called JCEX, who hands it off to USPS.- Soon after USPS received the package, it triggered a "Processing Error."- A USPS employee at the local post office said this was most likely due to the package going through customs and to wait a week.- 6 days of tracking showing absolutely no progress, and the package stuck at a facility on the other side of the country, it suddenly switched to "Out for Delivery" one morning and showed up at my door 4 hours later. All that to say that if your tracking triggers a "Processing Error" and the delivery progress seems to hault, everything is likely OK and your package is simply passing through customs and is on-the-way.

It is what it is supposed to be (sad that has to be said nowadays but at this point its my number one issue buying on Amazon) the leather is good quality and it is hand stitched as described. Purchased for a Boox Note Air 2 and it fits properly and all the buttons can be accessed. I have a magnetic stylus so haven't used the stylus holder but it does not interfere with the magnet on the side so I haven't needed to do so. Customization is correct.
