The sizes run big. had got this for a 7-pound dog, and it was so big, so I put it on my at the time 11-pound dog, and I had to use safety pins to help it stay on. In the image, he is not using the safety pins, and you can see his left back leg is falling out of it. The fabric does not stand up to a lot of wear and tear. My old boy has huge allergies and is always itching him self and has put a good-sized hole in it. But it is super cute.

Adorable! They do run very small though so if in doubt, order up a size. The fabric is soft and warm and my dog seems to enjoy wearing it. However, the fabric is hard to wash. It gets leaves and whatnot stuck to it and they don’t come off well in the wash. I have to handpick most of it off.

I bought this in two different sizes for my dogs. My 8lb Chiweenie tan dog (on left) is wearing size S. My 6.75lb brown min pin (on right) is wearing size XS. Both love it. Very soft and warm. Easy to wash.

My 6lb Yorkie was a small or medium based on the size guidelines. He’s about 12.5” neck to tail, 14” around the chest, 11” neck. The medium was WAY too big. I nearly returned it but it fit my friend’s chunky, fluffy 13lb yorkiepoo perfectly. Ordered the XS for my dog and it fits great! It’s snug enough to work under his harness, but not so tight it’s hard to put on. The leg cuffs are just right - he can’t easily step out of them, but they’re not so tight that it’s a fight to pull the sleeves over his paws. He can walk, run, play, wrestle, climb stairs, pee and poop while wearing it. It doesn’t itch, doesn’t involve terrifying Velcro, and it kept him from shivering on a 15 minute walk on an evening when it was windy and 33 degrees F. Wish they made more colors because it’s adorably fuzzy and will help keep snow and mud off his belly. But size down!
