This rooftop box is constructed from high-impact, multilayer ABS PMMA plastic and is waterproofed to keep interior contents completely dry. The locking design prevents unauthorized access, and it installs with included U-bolts to most existing rooftop crossbar systems with an interior span between 24” – 40”.

Both the size and cargo capacity are not accurate in the Amazon listing. The dimensions given are 15 x 27 x 57. The actual height is about 13.5. The cargo capacity was calculated using the 15 x27 x 57 dimensions as though the carrier is a rectangular box. First off the dimensions given are outside dimensions (not the inside cargo space). Secondly the calculation of cargo space does take into account that the top is tapered downward from the high point to both the front abd back. I would estimate the actual cargo space is between 10 and 11 cu. ft.. Overall the quality looks pretty good but the knobs that hold it down stick up inside taking up space and eliminating a flat bottom. I rated this with two stars primarily because of the misrepresented size and capacity.
