Product Reviewed: 6” bench grinder stone for $15.TL;DR; Nice fine stone; 30mm ID; 35m/s = 4500 rpm rating.For use on my shop grinder to replace my grey vitrified wheels.This is a nice looking stone. It rings so no obvious cracks. (suspending a stone through the hole and tapping it should produce a ringing tone not a dull sound which indicates a crack) Unfortunately other than some dimensional inspections I could not run this without making and arbour adapter as the relatively large ID needs an adapter for my bench grinder.I could with the rating on the stone was in RPM but 35m/s amounts to around 4500rpm at full size.I find this stone to be a good value. Just inspect your bench grinder for ID and/or be prepared to make a suitable adapter for your arbour.5 Stars – no negative surprises so far.How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. I was hesitant at first because i wasnt sure if it would fit my grinder, and despite it being an older grinder, it was a snap to install and im grinding away. The grit is good and feels nice and sturdy on the wheel.
