Genuine product, fits the TCA-3, and it's much cheaper than buying and shipping from the specialty shop in Canada, despite their much wider selection (sorry guys).This may be a newer revision of the bulb? The printed ink is slightly more ivory in color than the pure white of those before, but this is still made in Japan and it's still high quality glass manufactured to tight tolerances.Pro-Tip on Cracked Glass: If you're forgetful and you've been cracking these, here's how to avoid it: if you leave it boiling too long and there is very little moisture or no water left in the bulb, bring a Pyrex measuring glass, and *immediately* pour all the water on top into the measuring glass. You have less than 5 seconds to do so after removing from the heat. You must pour ALL the water off, otherwise even a drip or two falling back into the bulb will crack it (it is extremely hot and a sudden temperature drop, even from boiling water, will instantly crack the glass). If you're using a metal filter, there is little to no back-pressure, so place it upside down on your counter to cool off: this helps avert any water falling back down.[Yes, I've used it while cracked, and it still worked for me, but YMMV. There was some tiny bubbling around the cracks, but the crack was small, tight, and at the bottom, so it worked for 2-3 times while waiting for the new one to arrive. Again, YMMV, your responsibility, that's just my own experience. If you're nervous about it or don't know how to practice safety controls, don't do it.]Packaging: This arrived quickly and in good shape, but beware, the Amazon packaging was terrible, and if this was not borosilicate glass, it probably would've cracked (a simple Amazon cardboard box was used with one or two large-air-cells that did absolutely nothing. The product box inside was well-fit to the glass but with very little protection of the glass and no bubble/foam wrap. The corner of the product box was also pretty smashed).
