I much preferred this ceramic version to my old stainless steel one. It sits better on my cups and produces excellent coffee with dampened Haroo filters.

Shortly after receiving this brewer it became my go to choice. That is significant given the number of brewers I’ve purchased and used. The reason I like this so much is simply that it makes excellent coffee. I’ve found that a two pour process with a two minute bloom (3 x dose size) for two minutes, followed by an aggressive pour of about half the remaining water to assure sufficient agitation , then a slower gentler pour of the remaining water works well. Finish up with a gentle swirl. Draw down time added to bloom and pour time should total 5-6 minutes with a 24 gram dose.The brewer manages the volume well even though it is the smaller 02 size. The draw down should be fast enough to allow a continuous pour after bloom as prescribed above. The lack of ridges at the bottom of the brewer help to slow things just the right amount.Oh one more thing, the porcelain brewer needs to be rinsed to preheat it. But it will retain heat well after being rinsed sufficiently.I’d buy this brewer again. I have also recommended it and will continue to do so.

Preheat it with some hot water and this thing works like a charm. Been durable when I’ve dropped it in the sink.

As a coffee snob who has made manual pour-overs for over a decade in a traditional V60, I accidentally bought this when I needed to replace my last broken dripper. This one said V60 in the title and I missed the description in the bottom that said it only worked with the 4:6 method.But I gave it a try and went as coarse as my Fellow grinder would allow. This still results in VERY time consuming, very strong, and relatively bitter brews.If you specifically want to go with the 4:6 method, this might be what you want. But this is NOT a traditional V60, cannot make a cup in less than about 10 minutes, and that those details are somewhat hard to find in the small text at the bottom of the description leads to a low rating.

If you are a fan of the Kasuya 40:60 pour model, this rather unique dripper can be quite useful for "stronger" tastes as the water flows slower and therefore soaks the beans longer. You simply play with your grind, water temp and ratio. This and the switch and mugen are my go-to pour over drippers.

The bottom of this dripper is smooth, compared to the standard V60 dripper. This change in design allows the dripper to work better with the Kasuya pour-over technique. It slightly slows down the flow rate, allowing a more coarsely ground coffee to be used.The dripper comes with a very clear explanation of the Kasuya pour-over method, and the results are reliable and excellent.

I bought this dripper thinking I could use it like a V60. I was wrong 😑 This dripper is designed to slow down the brew process so you get more flavor extraction from maximum coarsely ground Coffee. If you try to do a V60 pour over grind size at say 30g, your looking at a 10-12+ minute process resulting in a barely palatable cup of coffee. So, I only use regular store bought coffee in this dripper and grind it at the maximum size. It still takes a good 7-8 minutes for the whole thing to draw down but at least the coffee tastes good, and in the event of a specialty coffee shortage, it will be pretty handy. I will look for a ceramic V60 dripper for my pour overs using my “specialty” coffee. Summary: this dripper is good for its intended purpose, but don’t expect it to perform like a V60.

Dünya Barista Şampiyonu Tetsu Kasuya da zaten bu durumu bildiği için youtube videosunda anlattığı kendi demleme reçetesinde bu dripperda kullanılacak çekirdeklerin altını çize çize kalın öğütülmesi gerektiğini söylüyor.
