I was actually surprised at how responsive the lowest notes are on this thing! Granted, the keys "feel cheap," being plastic and having a little "give" to them... but trying it out, they aren't lacking in function. I'm not having to push too hard to cover holes, no weird reaches. It's a perfectly functional bass, clear tone from F3 up to G5!Nice addition not mentioned in the description - it comes with a neck strap (and tenon covers for safer transport). The fingering chart is for soprano and alto, so it's not the most trustworthy - you'll want to use 0/0xx/x000 for D#/Eb for instance.If you're looking for a bass recorder just to round out a plastic set, grab this one. If you know what you're doing (and, let's face it, if you're shopping for a bass recorder, you're probably at least moderately experienced), you won't have any issues.

Difficult to get all the notes to sound, but I believe that is true of any bass recorder.

The C key broke after 7 weeks, but they replaced the whole recorder free of charge, and I played it for about 3 years. Just sold it fo another beginner.
