A great little broom. Selected as best by NYT Wirecutter.

I got my broom like this 22 years ago, & it's still good as new. I used to work for Harper Brush works in Fairfield, Iowa making all the brooms & brushes. Mine is all wood including the handle & the broom head both. This newer one comes with an aluminum handle. You can buy a wood handle for it at any Walmart or hardware store. I got my wood handle out of the paint department. Same handle that screws onto a paint roller. I'd put a wood handle on it right away. You will be 100+% happy with this broom.

I have not had time to use this broom much - have only tried it out twice. But..... I cannot wait to use it over a long period of time. So I cannot really comment on longevity - it seems strong and sturdy to me. I have a feeling I am going to be very happy with it. Nice long handle - I love the width and how it performed during my short "sweeps" If I was not excited by the promise it shows I would not do this review yet. But I tried so long to find something that appealed, I am doing this so that someone considering it knows that it does look worthwhile getting. So many other brooms seemed unappealing at the point of consideration. This one appealed.

This is the greatest broom. It picks up tiny dust just by sweeping. Pick up dirt and tiny debris along cabinets and in corners that vacuums do not get. It is the best for hardwood floors. A little pricey but worth it.

First the positive, I love this broom. I got tired of wearing out Target specials and decided to pay up for a quality piece. This ticked all the boxes so I gave it ta try. I've used it for the last month to sweep my house, which is all wood flooring, and I couldn't be happier. One negative, I had to make one crucial upgrade by replacing the broomstick. I am a 5-11 guy and the included broom handle was too short for me and made my back sore. I did lots and lots of measuring and comparing and settled on this handle: Rubbermaid Commercial Threaded Broom Handle, 54". If you are about my size, that's the handle you need to use with this great broom head and you can thank me later.Lastly, I reused the included handle (which was very light) by picking up a cobweb duster that I also couldn't be happier with (EVERSPROUT Twist-On Cobweb Duster | Hand Packaged to Protect Bristles | Indoor & Outdoor use Brush Attachment)Buy with confidence, I already picked up a second one for my porch.

I never thought I'd order a broom online....but years ago I bought this brand for a great price at our local hardware store and it was the best broom I had ever used. I have never found another since then that even comes close...I even replaced the old handle when it broke so I could keep using it instead of buying any of the new ones I could find locally. So, I came online to see if I could find one since my old one was finally getting to the beyond happy stage after YEARS of hard use...and low and behold...Amazon had one. I paid significantly more for this one than I did my original one and it's worth every penny. This one is bigger...I originally had the 9". The reason I like it is that the bristles are not too stiff but flexible enough to actually sweep debris without flinging it across the floor and the ends are frayed and dense enough to actually sweep finer debris instead of passing over it. I'd re-purchase this several times over, happily. It has made me a broom snob, lol :)

The broom itself has very soft plastic bristles. Hard to describe how soft. Many of them were deformed and bent all over from the non-existent packaging materials used to ship this. The handle is a complete joke. Hollow metal with plastic ends. The hanger end was off of mine and rolling around in the box. Super disappointment in this handle. Cheap. How much would it cost for a decent 54" wood handle? Not much. I think I was expecting something as nice as one of the Chinese horsehair brushes. This ain't it.

I could not be happier with this broom. I bought 2; one for our wood floors in the house and another for my finished garage floor that I use as a mechanic garage and wood shop depending on the project at hand. The broom does a great job on the wood floor and gets most if not all the dust without leaving trails of dirt. It also seems to be gentle on the wood and synthetic floor finish as I have not seen any marks or scratches left. The broom also does a really good job at sweeping the finished garage floor and is able to sweep the sawdust from my projects. I of course always have to use a vacuum cleaner to completely remove dust from some edges and corners that the broom can not get to but it is always minimal. The product is well made and I expect it to last a vey long time.
