I use this to hang alfalfa for my goats and although it does the trick, their tiny heads get stuck in it. The hole is pretty small for what it is supposed to be used for.

I have been around livestock my entire life, have a goat farm now and had horses a very long time. First impression was this will not hold up Thin material not great sewing. Wanted to get a double end snap but the straps are sewn in and there is not two eyelet to accommodate that and wanted to give it a fair chance that it may work. The hole is rather small as well. One kid is in trouble tonight and needed to move to the hospital pen and reached for this hay bag to set it up. The snap broke instantly so I just tied an knot to hold it in place. I does not hold a lot of hay if your lucky you can stuff a flake in there, not whole have to bust it all up and stuff it in. This could be nice in a chicken coop for them to peck at some hay but certainly not quality for bigger livestock. My horses would destroy this in a minute lol Giving the two stars generously just because it may have a place for smaller animals and the price is reasonable.

This feeder is very thin and flimsy, and the hole for feeding is substantially smaller than shown in the picture (about 4").When completely full, it holds about 4 lbs of hay.

This hay bag is super well-made and perfectly sized for my goats! I use it in smaller enclosures to keep hay off the ground, helping prevent parasites and worms. They love it, and it even helps keep the hay relatively dry when it rains. Easy to fill, sturdy, and a total win for my farm!

I am giving this item 3/5 stars because it is advertised for use with horses (in addition to other livestock). Compared to other horse-intended hay bags, it is much smaller and the opening for eating from it is also smaller. (This part may actually come in handy for my overweight horse who needs to be slowed down.) The snap to attach the strap is VERY tiny and seems pretty fragile. I'm not sure how long it will hold up to actual use by a horse. Overall, this hay bag seems more suitable for small livestock like goats and sheep and perhaps miniature horse/donkeys. That said, the fabric and stitching seem durable. It may surprise me and hold up better than expected.

Works great! We were losing a lot of hay due to our goats dropping a bunch on the ground (they don't like eating it once it hits the ground for some reason). This has been a huge help.

Deducting 1 star because it's smaller than expected - but the quality itself is pretty good. Easy to hang - and my goats are actually using it.
