No bolts... locking washers but no bolts. Yes I can obtain these bolts but again, no bolts. Now I have to make a trip to buy said bolts. Next time put the bolts in the box.

I had to do a coolant system refurb on my Jeep WJ 4.0. The main problem was a worn out fan clutch but it was leaking around the water pump too.I did the "while you're in there's" too so water pump, fan clutch, thermostat, thermostat housing, heater hose pipe and Fel-Pro upgraded gaskets with Honda-Bond RTV Silicone sealant and a new serpentine belt too.Everything worked great but to get the old fan clutch off I had to cut the nut part that screws on to the water pump shaft. I used a new Milwaukee M18 Orbital Super Sawzall, my reward for doing this DIY job.I didn't want to buy the Sawzall but after trying two parts store rental fan clutch removal tools with absolutely zero success, I got medieval on it. 15 minutes and two saw blades later the repair could proceed. The lower fan shroud fasteners are another pain in the ass for that job but after that, no big deal. After carefully cleaning all of the gasket surfaces and applying a reasonable amount of Hondabond, everything reassembled easily, I put the old hoses back in place refilled the system and burped it.Now my engine temperature stays right at 195 I think and beside warming up, the needle never budges. Before it would overheat if I wasn't traveling at 45mph+ and I had to add coolant almost every time I drove. That was mostly the fan clutch causing that but everything I used to fix it is working perfectly so far.

The high speed on my stock e-fan died, and my WJ was overheating in traffic. I replaced the e-fan, and for added piece of mind, I installed a clutch fan. Now it rarely ever gets above 205°, usually 199°. Install is a little tight.Tip: remove the 4 bolts holding the radiator/shroud in place. The lower drivers side is a pain, but mine was already missing. Slightly lift up on the shroud, and drop the fan clutch (already attached to the fan blades) into place. I tried to bend the shroud enough to slide the assembly in, but no luck.

Fan clutch came with 4 high quality replacement bolts and washers. This replaced an old worn clutch on a 1999 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 I6 (towing package with mechanical fan and electric fan) that had seen its day. It's a high quality replacement and a polished nut on it. It's a clutch but beautifully machined and made real well that's obvious.

I bought this for my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 after I was having over heating issues with the existing electrical fan unit. The electronic fan units in my vintage Jeep are known over life to have significant issues with pulling too much current through the relay and constantly burning out the fan relays in the the vehicles. It doesn't pop up an immediate code (you have to scan for it). So you can potentially get into a situation where the fan is out and your idling in traffic and you get an overheating situation.I was tired of paying 30 bucks a pop for the fan relays and finally decided to install a mechanical fan into my vehicle, the mechanical fan coupled with this fan clutch have served me fairly well, except for one exception of sitting in traffic for over 2 hours where I had to turn up the heat in the vehicle to compensate and bring the overall engine temperature down.I would suggest this to anyone who is looking to switch from an electric fan to a mechanical fan.
