Worked perfectly but no instruction for correct positioning. The old one falls out when you take the cover off so it is difficult to determine the correct positioning but finally worked it out. Instructions would be more helpful.

this T-stat is an OEM replacement. The original one was deformed and inoperable. I would highly recommend inspecting the T-stat every could of years and replacing when necessary.

My pool heater is a 12-year old H-series Hayward. When it started to rattle, knock and shut down I knew that the bypass and thermostat needed replacement. It's quite the pain to open the heater manifold, and much to my dismay the flimsy bypass in the heater had broken into pieces. The bypass valve was heavily corroded and the thermostat was barely working, again corrosion. This works perfectly. Along with the new bypass kit and some O-rings, my aging heater is now running like new.
