Increasing the performance of your vehicles braking system is easy when you choose Hawk Performance’s HPS braking compound. This unique Ferro-Carbon formula was developed for street performance using the safety and quality of Aerospace and Motorsports severe-duty friction technology. The High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20-40 percent more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you’ll have a highly durable brake pad with less brake dust.

The pads work great there warmed up but once there really up there on heat they produce a decent amount of brake dust but It all depends on your driving style. I do alot of back road driving and here's my take on it.

As with all Hawk pads they work great. Put these on the rear of my NB Miata. Great street pad. No brake dust. Only thing to know is while cold they don't grab much. Once warm they are excellent.

Good product at a fair price. Install was as expected. Previous hillbilly owners didn't use lube and back brakes were worthless. Car stops much faster now!

I bought EBC brake pads before and was told to give these a try. They are great brake pads. They take awhile to warm up (like all performance brake pads), but once they do, they are incredible. I use these on my '99 Miata and just love 'em.

Had these installed on my 96 miata. Got both the front and back sets. The miata stops on a dime now. No noise complaints and no noticeable brake dust. Only had these on about 300 miles now so will update after a few thousand.

These pads were a perfect fit and easy to install. Along with matching front pads, they provide distinctly improved stopping power, with good pedal modulation and no noise. To soon to tell about brake dust or pad life, though. I am pleased with them.

I run these in my 99 Miata. They stop well and they make very little to no noise at all. My only gripe is that the listing says "ceramic," but the brakes are made of a special Ferro-Carbon compound. After some research I found most people think they make for good street-performance brakes and my experience is the same. I'm very happy with them, especially since they replaced some cheap semi-metallic pads that wouldn't stop squealing.UPDATE 11/8/2012: By the way these are for the rear in my 1999; the , which I also reviewed, are for the front. That information is annoyingly difficult to find.I had a problem with sticky calipers and had to drive about 30 miles on the freeway with the brakes stuck slightly on after someone pulled the parking brake too high. Now they squeal like crazy. I don't count this against the brake though, it's not Hawk's fault I overheated them. If you have an older Miata, make sure the caliper pins are greased well and often.
