This motor is an exact replacement for HC21ZE123A Carrier Furnace Draft Inducer/Exhaust Vent Venter Motor. It is quiet. I also ordered an off brand wheel ( LA11XA048 ) and it fitted perfectly.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DK2DRY8Z?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

I purchased this to replace my old motor that sounded like we were being haunted by ghosts. It was cheap and easy to do.

Unfortunately the removal of the old motor was much more difficult than the actual installation of the new motor. It's all fine until you get to loosening the set screw holding the squirrel cage fan on the motor shaft. I soaked it with wd40, oil, anything I thought might loosen it. After a few hours of sitting, I still managed to break my hex wrench. I let it sit 2 days, and low and behold, it broke free, using the broken allen wrench and channel lock pliers to really get some torque on it. After that, was smooth sailing. Works like a brand new furnace now! You Tube is awesome!

The part was easily installed (after Youtube videos) on similar parts. The A/C started working immediately. The terrible news is that it only lasted 6 months before it went out again. I am once again buying this part in the middle of summer and we've have 100-108 degrees in Austin Texas in the last 4 days and we did not have A/C because of this piece of junk not working. One thing that throws me off is that the model number is exactly the same as the previous one I had installed but the amperage in this part is 1.6 FLA vs the 1.7 FLA in the original part. Why do they do that?Update July 28 2020: I want to revise my review on this product as I made an unnecessary and too quick judgement on this product. It turns out that I had a defective capacitor on the condenser unit which was not cooling the house. This inducer which was reviewed originally by me has nothing to do with cooling but it is an important piece for the winter to heat the house. Apparently, I assumed it was not working but it still probably is. I will check again during the winter but there is no reason to suspect at this point that there is an issue. I apologize for jumping quickly to conclusion since I am not an expert and only a DIYer.

Perfect replacement for my Bryant furnace. Getting the old scroll fan off the dead part (original motor bearings went) was a little tricky as that set screw tends to rust. A lot of PB blaster and a torch finally loosened it. I installed and now no more squeaks and stalling

We bought this as a replacement for the HC21ZE123A inducer motor on a Bryant 80 furnace. The HVAC guy came out and told us he'd need to replace the full inducer motor assembly with parts $330 and labor $180, for a total of $510.Instead, we bought this part, keeping the plastic flywheel and the "hamster cage" and did it ourselves for much less. There are some gotchas that you should be aware of:This part seems to be built to metric standards where the original was imperial. The main difference was the shaft (8mm) didn't immediately fit into the hamster wheel (5/16" ≈ 7.9mm). A little work with a 5/16" drill bit took care of that.Second, the mounting holes were bigger than before and had no threads, but 3 self-tapping screws took care of that. The original hamster wheel was in so tight we broke our 1/8" Allen wrench, but after getting a replacement and using pliers to grip it, we got it loose. Likewise the plastic flywheel/fan had a small locking disk that got a little bent during removal, but flattened out and was able to be reused. Finally, the fiber gasket had deteriorated, but I was able to cut a new one from a sheet of high-temp automotive gasket material. While we had to endure a few extra days without heat while waiting for the shipped piece to arrive, it was much more economical to do it ourselves compared to paying the HVAC guy.
