I love that this is adjustable, we had a lot of oak limbs that fell in last winter's ice storm and it seems a shame to waste the wood so we needed a BIG rack, but I also wanted it to fit under cover on our patio, so we ended up making it 4ft x 4ft, but we could have had it shorter height and longer just by cutting the wood differently. And as we use the wood up, if we don't replace it from another storm, we can shorten the posts to take up less space.That said, you DO need 2x4s to form the rack itself-- these are just the metal endcaps to hold everything together-- and it's nearly impossible to get a screwdriver in the middle to secure the bottom wood pieces so I didn't bother with screwing those in place, just the uprights.

Needed a rack to keep wood dry in our damp climate. Though I couldn't fail at simple woodworking like cutting 2x4s into two even pieces. Wrong! Still came out with a rack that works great. Used one 2x4 across the top so a simple tarp will shed water, not an overpriced rack cover. Throw a long cam strap around the middle, and it survived one winter so far, while keeping wood dry.

I split and stack 3-4 cords of firewood every year. I've had 2 sets of racks made of plastic for over 25 years. They are still fine, but I've been looking for racks like this for several years just in case the plastic ones finally fail. I put these together with no problems really like that they are metal and will last for years. I may buy a couple more in the next year.

So easy to do it.Just get the 2x4 pressure treated and you are good to go.I recommend to use other screws rather than the ones that came with it.

Was easy to assemble, although some of the pressures treater 2x4s had to be sanded down in order to fit. I added extra 2x4s some to the design to make it more sturdy. Spent a little more than anticipated but it looks better than the pallet stack I have next to it.

This product is exactly as advertised. Suoer easy to assemble, and plenty sturdy. If someone wanted, its easy to add a couple small pieces of cut plywood to the side supports to keep them perfectly parallel. Also, I chose to add some 45* 2x4s to form a triangle in a lower corner, and use that area to stack kindling. Those also add triangulation and this more structure. But it was fine without any added pieces, I just wanted a place for kindling.

I was very impressed with this item. It was very easy to install. I would recommend longer screws and I also put a board on the top of the 2x4 for added stability.

Use treated wood. These are perfectly designed. No wobble - love them. Bought a second one with days.
