The instructions said to adhere when it is dry, and try on a warmer day (so it sticks better). For me, I adhered it ON TOP of my existing mirror rather than below, as it looked more secure IMHO. I have since gone on the freeway, it's rained a few times and it's holding on! The mirror is small (as expected), but I call this out, as if you're near sighted and place it on your further mirror, it will be harder to see the traffic. Thus, I recommend installing it on the driver side mirror which is closer to the driver and easier to see! The mirror can pivot quite a big range, so it's quite forgiving upon install (but still recommend checking your work before peeling the sticker off! I find the item well prices at $5 currently.
