Used this ignition switch for a GT235 john deere. My old one was shorted and blowing the fuses. New one fit perfectly and has worked all year

this was about 30 bucks cheaper than my local john Deere dealer, and it's pretty simple to put on the tractor, I replace these about once every 5 years, but the garden tractor mower is nearing 30 years old -- so these go every now and then, small price to pay to keep the old mower running

I bought this hoping to save a few dollars from the John Deere part. I installed it and it did not work. The mower then spent four weeks in the shop. So, ultimately, I paid for this part, someone to mow the lawn for four weeks, and then paid for the real John Deere part and the labor for someone else to install it. I should have just bought the real part from John Deere. Cannot recommend.

I have a JD GX345 lawn tractor. Last year the PTO drive would randomly cut out as I was mowing. After letting it sit for 5 to 20 minutes it would work again. I took it to the John Deere dealer four different times but they could not figure out the problem. I did some research and learned that the control card might be the culprit. I installed this product and it did the trick. My mower works perfectly again! Installation was easy. The only difficult part was the ignition switch but only because it’s difficult to reach. The only issue I have is with the packaging. They sent it in an envelope and some of the components were bent and I was afraid they would break when I bet them back.
