Your cart is empty.Hudson Bearings drop in heavy duty ball transfer. Made of carbon steel material. Integral flange at top allows unit to be dropped into 1-3/4-inches diameter hole. 1-3/16-inches main ball rotates on 1/8-inches support balls. Ball support cup is machined from solid steel and is hardened and plated. Ball transfers solve a variety of material handling and motion control challenges, whether used in the traditional 'ball up' position or as a caster in the 'ball down' orientation. Ball transfers offer advantages to traditional casters, such as lower profiles and omnidirectional movement, often at a lower cost. Common applications: air cargo, shears, robotics, military logistics, store fixtures, die handling, laser and plasma cutters, glass and metal manufacturing, medical devices, caster substitution.

These bearings have finally provided me with a solution that works just great for manuvering my 1,200 pound workbench! Much better than the casters that I had previously tried.

I recently took down a 100’ tall oak tree. The large rounds were too much to deal with. I decided to build a Hudson bearing table for my splitter. I’ve never seen them used this way , but it worked perfectly. I was worried about the bearings getting debris on them .... never happened. With a 500 lb load rating each , they had no problem

So glad that I came across these bearings! I built a reinforced concrete coffee table with a heavy duty wood base that easily weighs at least 300lbs. I wanted to be able to move the table around easily but didn't want to ruin the look of it with unsightly casters - or run the risk of someone's toe getting smashed under one. These bearings are absolutely perfect for the job! They sit inconspicuously inside the bottom of the table legs, raising it just slightly off the ground so no toes are in danger. Even my 115lb wife can now move it around in any direction with ease. I certainly recommend, and will use these again on my next project!

For the longest time we used the old Acme bearings on our heavy equipment until they went out of business. Im glad I called the owner over at Hudson Bearings though, as he was not only a gentlemen and helped identify the exact bearing that I needed for my machine, but his product is night and day difference to the competition. By far the best bearings we have had for heavy duty weight being distributed across these throughout the year. I would recommend Hudson to anyone that is looking for quality bearings.

I used 4 of these for a portable stage at our church that was over 400# and they worked perfectly, rolls effortlessly in all directions.
