We have a Standard Poodle who on a good day could go through a couple of shoes, a pillow, and a few toys. These rawhides have saved many items from having to be replaced. They are the perfect size for our 60lb pound dog and he prefers the retriever rolls to the knotted ones. From the human standpoint, the fact that are made in the US is a definite plus. Please do not get me wrong, I am not saying that everything from China is tainted and everything from the US is not, but I do have more faith that the US rawhides are of superior quality and last quite a bit longer than the ones we have picked up from local stores that were made outside the US. There is natural variation in size and weight of each one, which is to be expected. When we get through the 20 pack we will be back for more, as both our dog and we like them.

My big ol 12 month old labradoodle loves these rawhide chewy bones. They hold together during the chewing process. Typically one will last 3-4 days. They really do the job on the chewing urge. He is the ultimate game creator and player. His favorite is when I roll these up in a rag bath towel and he gets to sniff, paw, bite and find the bone. Fun stuff. I like the size of the bones and the amount the comes in a package as we go through these on a regular and consistent basis. Easy to recommend if you have a dog who like to chew.

I ordered the twenty pack and they were 100% as described. Nice, thick rawhide rolls that my dogs could slowly work through. The smell a little funny, but no worse than any of the others. So, excited by this, I ordered the 40 pack. Though they arrived in different packaging, on first glace they looked more or less the same as the 20 pack version with a few thinner bones mixed in. However, as my dogs started working though them I realized these were essentially the same as any other crap rawhide: thick outer roll with some cosmetic ends that is otherwise filled with scraps. The dogs will pull it out the scraps and then swallow them, which horror stories on the internet have told me is bad. Additionally these came much drier than the others and splinter more readily.Disappointing.

At first we werereally pleased with the retreiver rolls. They were not made in China, they were rolled from one large piece of hide and the hide was very thick. Normally our golden can eat a roll a day but with this roll she would chew then stop do other things then go back to chewing again. We thought maybe the hide was a bit too thick, since it took her a little over two days to get it down to a small piece which we take away. So I soaked the second roll in water before giving it to her. However, when i took the roll out of the water there was a terrible chemical smell! So i checked the others and discovered that whenever the roll was dry they smell beefy like rawhide but when they were wet theysmelled awful. I guess thats why she kept leaving her chew and only continued to chew it when it dried. So I scrubbed and scrubbed, the odor lessened but did not completely wash away. I felt a little deceived and a bit naive but the description said,"100% American beef rawhide" and the package said "no preservatives." I guess that statement could mean made in Mexico using "american rawhide" and "100%" could mean they used chemicals on 100% rawhide. so i had no choice but to answer yes to "item as described" for those reasons. i'm going to call my vet to see if he has any suggestions to remedy the situation. Hopefully, he can find a way to clean it, or my only recourse will be to throw it out which also would mean the loss of $35. It is so very disappointing! And i have never encountered a situation like this, even all the people whom i spoke with who shop thru amazoncouldn't believe it. I'm not giving my girl chemically smelling rawhides eventho they were "not made in china! "Sorry to give you a negative rating because whenever I purchased through you in the past and it was always been a great experience!"

My dogs love these. Quality is fine, they are longer than but slightly thinner than the ones that cost twice as much at my local grocery. My big yellow lab who goes crazy for these things devours them at the same clip as the more expensive ones, so I am very pleased with the product.

I've gotten to the point where these are the only rawhide bones that I'll by my dogs. These never make my dogs sick and they last a little longer than other raw hide from the store. You never really know where this stuff comes from I guess but I hate buying from the store and constantly seeing that they're made from Brazil or Mexico or China. It's hard to find rawhide that's American made these days. These are usually priced pretty well too if you compare to other rawhide bought at your local store. My dogs act aggravated when I don't have them.

These are quality rawhide treats. My dog loves them. But if you pay attention you will see amazon lists the weight of the package as 7 lbs. I used this weight to compare against other rawhide treats. This package appeared to have the best weight per dollar ratio and that is what I based my purchasing decision on.When I opened the box I saw the package was marked "net weight 5 lbs." (true weight was 5 lbs. 2 oz.). What happened to the other two pounds?! That is a large discrepancy.I realize the weight amazon lists is for shipping purposes. But for a bulk product such as this, the shipping weight should reflect the product weight within an ounce or two.In summary the product quality is great. The value for the price is marginal (you can get 5 lbs. of rawhide for cheaper). And the accuracy of amazon's listing is downright misleading.
