Definitely enjoyed the switch to Step-in bindings from traditional ratchets. Way more convenient. My first day on the hill though my rear toe strap snapped in half. Not sure how it happened, no hard falls or anything, but even if I did, a brand new product shouldn’t break day one. Rode the rest of the day with my toes free, made hard carves an adventure, smaller runs I didn’t notice too much. Spent 45 minutes in the pro shop on day 2 to get the strap replaced. It was a $5 fix, but annoying nonetheless. I would not recommend going above a size 12 boot with the XL binding. I wear a 12 and my heal rubs when I close the back of the step-in (I have the straps on their biggest setting).
