This lock will work very well with my trike. I appreciate that the cable and lock are separate because otherwise they are more difficult to store while cycling. I love that the cable is thick and long enough so I can secure my recumbent trike to a sturdy post if I have to leave it to go into a store or restaurant while out on long rides. The combination was easy to reset even without included instructions, since the end that needs to be turned of the reset actually says reset on it. That's even better than instructions for if I ever want to change the code. No having to google or look for paper instructions. This is currently listed at $26.99 which I find to be reasonable for securing a trike that costs over $1000 and even more to replace. It would also work well for bikes, scooters, and more like even metal garden carts or tools to a trailer.

This large U bike lock with combination is ideal for locking up my scooter because it is extra heavy duty. Not only is it big and intimidating but it is very noticeable. The locking mechanism seems very strong, and most professional thieves won't want to fool with this lock because of the build. The heavy duty cord is very thick, and along with a 1/16 of an inch of silicone cover that keeps the steel cable from rusting. I am very impressed with the heavy duty U bar, which also is waterproof. It is very easy to use while also being extremely strong so as to get the job done. Most thieves take the path of least resistance, the look of this bike lock alone will stop the thief mentally in his tracks! I can highly recommend this lock, and it can be used on a bike, scooter, ebike, or even a motorcycle!

I have a very similar lock from a bike shop that ran me about $80 so my comparison draws from that. It's a solid brand and solid product in which all components feel very sturdy. In both cases, I find that this style of lock, as opposed to a chain or thin cable is the way to go.This U-shaped area of the lock is very solid, and seemingly consistent with the expensive lock I mentioned. I also appreciate the additional cable to lock you tire to the bike. The plastic portion keeping it all together is where I get a bit weary. It is as described, plastic, and I'm thinking a solid hammer swipe might break it apart. With all that said, for the price, and to get this type of lock, is not a bad deal and it will keep your bike locked. Due to the potential for cheapness, I would however recommend only using it with a less expensive and less enticing target such as a lower cost bike. Overall not bad, it's just that you're getting what you pay for.
