I’ve used 2 so far for weaving in yarn ends on afghans and they bend way too easily. They could be a little sharper but not bad… Still useable.

The curves needles came in a zip style plastic bag, and the straight needles came in a capped hard plastic container.Each needle is a different thickness and length. There are also different style points to several needles so they will work with different fabrics.Several of the curved needles have a deep curve where the eye and point of the needle are on the same plane. They will work great when repairing a couch/chair cushion on the edge.There are needles that will work with thinner fabrics or even heavier leather.This will be a great set of needles to add to my sewing kit for those more unusual but necessary repairs on upholstery, as-well-as any new crafting in leather or other extra thick fabrics.

I got these heavy duty sewing needles for art projects. The straight needles come in a small plastic tube and the curved needles come in a small ziplock style bag. These needles are designed for heavier use and the gauge is nice and heavy. Six of the nine straight needles come with a bent tip for easier stitching. Ive not had any issues with these needles and they work 100% better than an older set that I had (from a different company) that all broke super easy. These needles are worth it, great for heavier materials. Save the regular needles for normal sewing and buy a set of these for anything heavier than a sheet or a tee-shirt.

I had some really thick (like a quarter inch) material I needed to hand sew through. These do the trick, overall. I was putting my needles through a lot and one did eventually bend right in half, but I don't think the thickness of what I was sewing is common; I think that for normal heavy duty sewing these will be fine and hold up well.They are sharp enough to pierce difficult material but not so thin the tips give out- it's a delicate balance to strike and these do it well. The eye of the needles are large enough to hold actual worsted weight yarn, so I can't imagine there is any thread that would be too thick to work with these.

Sewing is slowly becoming a lost art. I’m a guy, but I was taught early on how to care for my things and to repair if needed. Although the USA has become quite a throwaway society in their products, it’s not often necessary to throw away expensive items. Many things can be repaired with minimal work.Now again - I’m a man. And yes it IS manly to be able to impress the heck out of your wife and fix things she didn’t know could be fixed. Particularly, leather items, coats, furniture and the very nice purse she invested in. Some decent thread, a good needle, a bit of patience (possible magnification for your eyes) and you’re gold!
