I had mixed feelings about this when it first arrived. There was grass in the package and it smelled weird. After installing it on the door, I started to have a change of heart.I didn’t observe enough, and maybe it was my tired mom brain, but I thought this might be a thin metal thing. It is a fabric similar to those collapsing storage boxes that you can buy at the Dollar Tree. The difference is that it comes with boards to put inside a few pockets in each compartment to help give them structure. It is very easy to place on the door. I’m short and was able to stand on a stool and put it on my first try.I thought maybe I was being silly to get this. Our bedroom (and house, honestly) is usually cluttered. We don’t have much storage room so things just end up on top of the table, desk and chests. It is tiring to feel surrounded by clutter. As soon as this was up, I told my husband that the new rule is that anything without a home should go in there until one of us comes to organize it. Instantly the room was clean!! We started putting things in it and EVERYTHING fit plus there is extra space still. My husband was skeptical at first but also loved it once he saw how much we “put away.”I will say, if having your door open completely is important to you then maybe don’t put it on the bedroom door but on a closet or bathroom door. We are both skinny people and don’t have wheelchairs or walkers or anything like that, having the door slightly impeded doesn’t difficult our lives much. I mention this because it might be more important to other people which is why I included a picture of how much it stops the door.If you need a quick solution to clutter or more space for organizing, this is the work of a magician! Each compartment has a great depth too.

What a great idea…storage on the back of a (in my case) hall closet door. Hanging shoe bags have been around for years. In fact, I have one on the back of my master bedroom closet door. But storage “bins”? What will they think of next!I started by putting the four hangers on the inside top of my hall closet door. Then I hung the organizer on the hooks and adjusted it to the center of the door. Because the closet knob is a handle instead of a knob, I had to slide the hangers to the right maybe 2”. All that was left to do then was to insert all the heavy cardboard sides and bottoms into the correct slots and the organizer was ready to fill. BTW…80 pounds is the max capacity. These canvas-like hanging bins are very well designed. Each bin has “pockets” on one side to insert really stiff cardboard “inserts”. This is what gives the organizer its shape. The bottom piece of cardboard is covered in the same fabric as the organizer. Since it is the only piece of cardboard visible, this gives the unit a nicely finished look. When I filled my organizer, I stepped back and still had two pockets left. I also freed up a shelf in one of my hall closets.Bottom line, if I had another closet that lent itself to this organizer, I’d order it in a heartbeat!Oh drat…I failed to mention that there are outside sleeves along both sides where you could also store flatter objects. Off the top of my head, I think of a feather duster, or perhaps soft packs of travel tissues.

No instructions of any kind provided, but easy enough to decipher: attach the hardware to the top, insert the cardboard panels where they fit.Fits over the top of a standard size door fine (check to make sure the door will still open fully, these pockets are quite deep).

This item is large and each pocket holds a lot. I have a colostomy and I use it to hold all of my supplies in one spot for easy access.

I really could not be more pleased with this! This over-the-door storage container can hold SO MUCH stuff! It's also well-made and sturdy. I put it on the back of my pantry door and instantly acquired a ton of storage space. The container is very well-made of a sturdy canvas. It comes with (very) thick cardboard inserts that give the organizer strength and shape. They're easy to slip into the appropriate spaces. There are four over-the-door hooks. I put adhesive felt pads (the kind you put under furniture) on the backs of the hooks to keep them from scraping the paint on the door. This organizer holds a shocking amount of stuff! I was able to put boxes of crackers into it sideways. Because it's fabric, you get a bit more flexibility in maneuvering things in and out. The pockets are super deep and wide, perfect for grocery items. The pockets on the sides are great for small items that you don't want to lose. Because the pockets have clear windows, you can easily see what's in each pocket.I'm not sure I'd try to put heavy canned items in it (but I wouldn't try to put them in any over the door organizer), but this is perfect for boxed items-- they're a lot easier to see in this than they are on a shelf. I can also easily slip my paper goods into this. It stays put and doesn't slide from side to side when I open the door.I'm using this in the pantry, but you could absolutely use it in any room where you need more space. It could hold clothing and accessories, toys, craft supplies-- it's very flexible in that regard. I absolutely recommend this organizer and am so glad I got it.
